- Josh's POV -
Amber began to make the bubble move while it was floating. I felt sick.
"I hate heights" I said, Amber laughed and put her hands over my eyes.
"Well don't look then?" She said, I could feel the bubble turning and moving under my feet.. So not being able to see didn't really help.
"People are trying to kill us, and we're just chilling in a bubble" I said while taking her hands off my eyes, she shrugged.
"Smiling through fear and pain usually helps me" She said, my heart dropped.
"But you don't have to fake in front of me, I understand" I said sadly, she nodded.
The police were miles away now, so we decided to get back on to the ground. When we reached the path the bubble instantly popped.
"Ah, it's good to get back on the ground again.." I said while putting my face on the cold hard concrete.
"Get up it's dirty!" Amber shouted while grabbing my shirt, I dusted myself off.
"..what now?" I asked.
"Well you're the one who came and got me, you should have more plans" Amber said, I rolled my eyes.
"Well sorry! I'm only out of hospital like three hours ago" I blurted out, Amber stopped walking.
"Wait.. What?" She said, I looked around hopelessly. I know if I told her the reason I was in hospital was the flood, which she caused then she would get angry and upset with herself. And I can't let that happen. Not again.
"My sister wasn't well.." I lied, she continued walking.
"Oh I'm sorry to hear that.. Is she okay now?" She asked, I nodded with a smile. For some reason I hated lying to her. I've always lied to people, Mike.. My mum.. Everyone. But when I lied to Amber, I got this huge heavy feeling in my heart and I hated it.
"Look! Over there!" A voice shouted, and when you think you've gotten away from them.. They come right back.
"They're back!!" Amber shouted, it was the police. We began running, once again. God knows where.
I was tired of being chased by scary people, I just wanted to be in my bedroom.. Reading books. When I come to think of it, my life is almost like my favourite book.
In the story, the prince saves his Kingdom and the princess.. And then look at me right now. I felt quite proud of myself.
Until I noticed I was running alone. I looked back to see Amber lying flat on the ground.
"Amber!!" I screamed.
