My eyes fluttered open and I immediately squeezed them shut again. My head felt like a hammer had been dropped on and my eyes were stinging. It was like someone was chopping an onion. I squeezed my eyes together before slowly opening them.
I felt something warm on my hand and peeked down to see a large, warm hand grasped onto mine. I glanced to the left and dark brown hair was on display. I frowned, trying to retreat my hand from the larger one but it was no use, the hand was an iron like grip.
I sat up on the bed and glanced around to see my room. I gently shook the hand and Caleb snapped up, his eyes wide and his lips parted.
"What happened? Wha- OH FUCK! Fighter! When did you wa-" I cut him off with a raise of an eyebrow.
"What happened?" I asked, running a hand through my hair trying to tame it down a notch. Probably looked like a birds nest.
"Oh... me and Liam were having a fight and you sort of just... dropped. BUT I CAUGHT YOU!" He quickly added.
Everything came rushing back. The feeling was too much. It was a deja vú moment. The way his head smacked off the table. I couldn't take it... it had definitely happened before.
"What are you thinking about?" Caleb asked, he was eyeing me curiously and his intense green eyes seemed to twinkle with interest.
I shook my head and discounted my ludicrous thoughts. "Where's Liam?" I asked instead.
He bit his lip, my eyes instantly darting down. My lips had been on that. His pink plump lips had been traced by my tongue.
"Hospital." He muttered. My eyes snapped up. That certainly had not been what I was expecting.
"What do you mean by hospital?" I asked, tucking my hair behind my ear because apparently it chose the perfect moment to go into my mouth.
"I mean hospital fighter." He said, like it was the most normal thing to say.
"Can you elaborate please? What is he doing in the hospital?" I asked eagerly.
"Because I smashed his fucking face in!" He exclaimed, catching me off guard. "That bastard hurt you; did you expect me to dismiss it like it was nothing?"
"Why do you care?" I asked, pulling my hand away from his. His face flashed many emotions before it fell into nonchalance.
"Why wouldn't I care?" He asked instead.
I frowned. "I don't have time for your invalid answers Caleb! I need to get to the hospital." The nearest and only hospital was just down the road.
I jumped up and ran into my closet. I grabbed a cardigan and went back into the room. Caleb was still im the same place just staring into the place where I had previously been occupying.
"What floor and room?" I asked, slipping my feet into a pair of converses.
"Floor eight, ward three." His voice was blunt as was his face
"Are you going to go or sta-" He cut me off.
"I'm coming with you," He jumped up. I stared at him like he was crazy before telling him just that. "ARE YOU CRAZY?!" I exclaimed, walking up to him and flicking his forehead.
He grabbed my hand, chuckling. "Crazy for you." He murmured huskily. Despite the fact that I knew he was joking my nipples still hardened and my breath still hitched. This is not the right fucking moment! What was I doing? This is crazy!
"Stop joking around." I mumbled, slightly pushing at his chest.
"Right!" He nodded. "Lets go to see the bastard."
