Set after Zarc's defeat, a new effort to improve the duelists in the dimensions has been founded. Introducing Duel University. This was founded in a pocket dimension in the direct center, easily accessible to all dimensions.

"So we are gonna ace this semester man!" Mike said airfisting and cheering as the two boys walked through the streets towards the teleportation hub downtown.
"Yea, I believe we stand a chance" Joseph said shrugging a bit as he looked at his duel disk, a new model, built to ease the cost of disks, a more solid model than the duel blades of past years.

The model was folded over the user's wrist, covering the display of life, and opposing field. It looked slick, and not in the way of the user as it laid over the arm of the boys as they approach the decorated hub where DU's banners were strewn.
Faintly, the two heard someone shouting and hollering as they approach. They saw a girl, trying to defend herself amongst school officials in maroon coats, one in a white coat at the main sign in table.
"But my papers are making me elligable! Let me in!" Said Asoka as the guards held her back as the white coat man said, "no way! It ain't legal for a University to take a child away, your only 17!"
"Only for another month! Come on!" Asoka begged practically as the boys came up, Joseph first in a short black coat. "Hey! Calm down! What's going on?" He asked as Mike cane up in a same length tan coat.
"Miss Asoka wants in on campus affairs, even if she isn't an adult. She can't join the University"
"But professor Takuma, she is a duelist yea? Look at the disk! She knows the game! Why can't she?" Mike said as Takuma groaned a little. "Well.. you see"
"Professor Takuma is afraid of to many students in his campus" a voice said descending the stairs up to the hub, a professor of high status given the maroon coat with silver shoulder pads.
"D-dean Ashiel! I'm so sorry..." Takuma said bowing quickly and shuttering at any verbal punishment.
"No punishment Takuma... but a proposal" Ashiel said standin before the students and Asoka. "Asoka is a duelist, as evidenced by her Duel Gauntlet. She'll duel, and if she wins; she is immediately given access as a student."
"Oh really? Ahh YES!" Asoka said before the dean shh'd her. "But! You win Takuma, and Asoka is held off until next year's application process."
"Ahhh, ok, i see.... deal!" Takuma said as he went to the impromptu duel area, Asoka stepped on her mark and smiled.
"Why're you smiling?" Takuma said as he stared at her arming her gauntlet, the blade unfolding from her forearm and shimmering on, only one deck, the extra deck slot underneath it empty.
"I'm always looking to duel! My step parents hate it, calling it a devil sport since Zarc used duel monsters." Asoka said as her gauntlet shuffled.
"Well... let's prove them otherwise. Beat me." He said as he smiled and put his deck inside the gauntlet.
"DUEL!!" Lifepoints at 8000, due to the new rulings.
"I'm starting us off Asoka! I activate the Magic Card; Melody of Awakening Dragon!" Takuma said as he drew two ejected cards from his gauntlet.
"This adds two Dragons from my deck to my hand after I discard one! I add these two!" Takuma said flashing a Blue Eyes White Dragon and an Alternate White Dragon. Takuma then discarded one monster and almost ended, but a level 1 monster card flashed. "The effect of The White stone of the Ancients! If it was sent to the graveyard this turn, I can special summon a Blue eyes monster to the field from the deck! I call upon Blue Eyes White Dragon!" Takuma said pulling the ejected card out and slapping it on his blade as the rare dragon roared from the card.
"The Blue Eyes White Dragon?!" Asoka said as she stepped back from initial fear before she stood her ground and smirked. "Yes. This deck is world class. A mock remake of the rare legendary deck that won the world championships of the past years. ever since Industrial Illusions began to recreate the legendary Number Cards as real playable cards, the decks we've used have evolved! This deck utilizes one that I'm sure you'll enjoy once he appears."
"So Asoka's..." Joseph said as the dean nodded. ".. is fighting the world champ's deck. This is a test. If she can hold her own; there's a jury to vote on her entry. But if she wins, there's no doubt she can enter Duel University."
"So? Come at me Asoka! Fight me!" He said as Asoka drew her card. A 49 card deck and currently a 3 card extra deck. She knew something other than pendulum summoning if her words are true, or untrue, depending on your point of view. She smirked. "Oh don't worry.. the fun has just begun!!"
