Sydney and I just reached the bottom of the stairs when we met Bryce who was in a hurry to get back upstairs.
"Good Morning ladies. Getting breakfast?" He asked us.
"Yeah. You?" I answered.
"Yup, I just forgot something in my office. By the way, can I join you?"
"Sure! That's a terrific idea." Sydney answered for me. I glared at my friend which she returned with a smile.
"Nice. Wait for me outside, I'll be out in a minute." And he dashed off upstairs.
Sydney and I went to the parking lot and I led her straight to Bryce's car. We talked while we waited for Bryce to return.
"So you seem to really know Bryce's car huh?" Sydney began. "Smells like a reconciliation is on the works."
"Sydney, you just really see color in everything. Very creative." I retorted.
"Don't be mad, I'm merely interpreting what I see. So what gives?" She tried again.
"Nothing." I told her. It was the truth. "There's nothing between us. We're just trying to rebuild the friendship. That's all."
She considered me for a minute. "Well, I say, it's about time."
"For what?" Bryce appeared beside us which made me jump out of fright.
"Breakfast!" I shrieked.
They both laughed. For Sydney, it was because we almost got caught talking about Bryce. While as for him, I had no clue why.
"You sure are hungry." He said, shaking off the remainder of the laughter. He pressed his key and set the alarms off and unlocked his car. "Hop on ladies."

Sev: Hey Haeley! I'm really sorry but I can't make it later. Something important came up. Another time okay?
Sev postponing our dinner was what greeted me when I woke up later in the afternoon. I had set my alarm on at an earlier time so I could prepare for our date but there was no dinner to go to. My cheery mood turned sour and I was really disappointed. I was even looking forward on our second date but he bailed out on me.
Since I was already wide awake and there was no chance of falling back to sleep, I decided to take an early long bath. I was almost by the bathroom door when Bryce popped up in my mind. I hurriedly took my phone and sent him a quick text.
Me: Dinner still stand?
I didn't wait long because Bryce immediately responded.
Bryce: Yes of course! You sure?
Me: Only if you want me to.
Bryce: Absolutely. Pick you up at 6 then. See you <3
My heart skipped a beat at the heart emoticon I saw at the end of his message. It gave a lot of different meaning to me. I just had no clue which one I would consider true.
I typed in a quick text and sent it to him.
Me: See you :)
I put the phone down on my coffee table and went straight to the bathroom. It was still early. I still had about an hour and a half before six so I had pretty much plenty of time to prepare and choose an outfit.
I took my time on the shower, thinking about Bryce and Sev. At this point, I was just confused of everything. I knew I still felt something for Bryce but I just wasn't sure how deep it was or if it was even deep enough to consider an actual relationship in case he asked. I also knew I liked Sev so much. Maybe so much more than Bryce. I didn't know. I just knew, I both liked being around them. I liked talking to them. I liked it even more when they gave hints that they liked me.
