Aurora's pov

I walked down the sidewalk heading towards the Dx. The leaves crunched under my boots as I walked turning them into little fragments instead of full beautiful leaves. I like walking it gives me time to think, time to assess life and enjoy natures beauty. It's especially best in Fall, I love the exquisite colors that the trees turn. I turned down the road and I saw the "strip mall" of stores. there was a grocery store, a drug store, a clothing store, and a gas station called the dx. I've only been in there about 3 times since I moved here but apparently it's pretty popular. My mom decided she needed me to get a part for her car so my dad can fix it.

I walked through the door and a little bell gave off a quite ding letting the workers know someone was here. I walked over to the caps and looked for one that matched the grease covered cap I held in my hand. I found one that looked reasonable and headed for the counter to check out then bust it outa there. I got to the end of the aisle and went to turn, looking down at my feet, I ran into the display and fell flat on my butt sending car parts flying everywhere. I got up and began to try and put the parts back when this really hot guy came and crouched down next to me

"You ok?" He asked with so much sincerity and a bit of worry in his voice.

"Yea...I..I'm fine." I stuttered out, crap I just sounded so stupid. But his face, man he has beautifully chiseled features, kind eyes, and did I mention that he is HOT.

"Here," he got up and extended his hand out for me to pull my clumsy self up.

I took his hand and he hoisted me up, hard. I lost my balance and fell on him. not just oh sorry move yourself, nope I fell ON him my hands on top of his muscles, his HOT muscles may I add.

I looked up at him and he smiled down at my clumsiness yet again.

"Your lite," he said still chuckling at the whole situation.

"Uhh...thanks," I said unsure of what else I could really say to that without sounding selfish.

I pulled myself back off him and looked down at my feet as an awkward silence took over the room.

"My names Sodapop, Sodapop Curtis. What's yours?" he asked stopping the silence.

"I'm Aurora," I said smiling.

"That's pretty," he said making me smile even more.

"Thanks, your name is nice too."

"Yep, I got a younger brother named Ponyboy and an older one named Darrel but everyone calls him Darry."

"Very.....creative names." I said trying to come up with a nice word to say without offending him, or Sodapop.

"Yea, I like 'em though they're original."

"Yea, could I uhh get this part? My mom needs it for her car,"

"Oh yea, right over here." he said hopping over the counter and to the cash register.

I grabbed the cap off the floor and walked over to where Soda was behind the counter. I handed the cap to him he looked at it, though about it for a moment then said this

"That'll be 75 cents,"

"Ok," I said happily while attempting to fish the money out of my skinny jeans. It may not seem like a difficult task just to get money out of your pockets but with skinny jeans it's a whole new ball game.

After I finally got he money out I handed it to him and he put it in the cash register and handed me the cap.

"Thanks," I said turning to leave.
