even the prettiest stars

can't be forgotten

when the velvet of the night

lays its cloak above it

and like you, a star

you will never be forgotten

you'll be here in my heart

you'll lay here till morning comes

as flowers are unique

so are your own petals

from that girl, or that boy

or that beautiful stranger

but fret not

you are as beautiful as they are

no matter the colour of your petal

no matter the tallness of your stem

fairies have wings

because they are small

because their limp hands

can't lift the weight of the world

so are you the same:

a mere human in this world

so carry your weight at your pace

even in distress you shine with grace

you wouldn't give away a house

for the cracks in its walls

so like the house, your heart

bears many cracks and many scars

if your house is too precious

to be given away for its cracks

isn't your heart just as golden

to be lost in a way so sad

all those fairytales

you read as a child

of little people who won wars

and who stood up in the name of love

so gather your armor

and relive the tales of your youth

those little people were there for a reason

they were there to guide you
