"She has a fever, make sure she doesn't leave her bed, otherwise her fever's going to get worse," Nanette said, leaving upstairs.
I sighed and stared at Elena. How did she even catch this fever all of a sudden? That question stuck with me. Maybe it was the ice cream?
"geunyeoneun gwaenchanhseubnikka?"(Is she okay?) V asked, coming down the stairs.
I nodded towards him. I asked what was going on upstairs, and he said that the guys were going to hang here tonight. My face lit up.So that means Kookie's staying! I thought.
"geunyeoui yeol-i wae saeng-gyeossdago saeng-gaghani?"(What do you think caused her fever?) I asked.
V shrugged. I realized, he was sitting right next to me. My face heated up. I looked away and focused my vision on the basement window. I tried hiding my face so he couldn't see me blushing and colored like a tomato.
There was an awkward silence in the room. It stood on for minutes. Both of us didn't know what to say, so we just stared at the ground or was just glancing around the whole room. Suddenly, V started speaking.
"geulaeseo ... neo konseoteueseo jaemi iss-eossni?"(So, did you have fun at the concert?) V asked, not looking at me directly.
"ne...,"(yep...) I said awkwardly.
"geulaeseo nawa nawa hamkke bodeu geim-eulhago sipseubnikka?(So, you want to join me and the others for board games?)
"mian, kkaeuchil ttaeleul daebihaeseo ellenaleul bwaya hae."(Sorry, I have to watch Elena incase she wakes up or anything.)
"o, geuleom. naega neowa hamkkehago donghaeng halgeoya, gwaenchanh ni?"(Oh, well then. I'll stay with you and accompany you, is that okay?)
My face was really tensing up now. It was like I had a hot pepper in my mouth and I wanted to just scream. I kept my voice from shouting and gulped down my thoughts on how I could mess everything up by saying one word. I nodded and mumbled, mmph!
"keun! doum-i pil-yohan geos-i iss-eumyeon geunyang mul-eobosibsio."(Great! If there's anything you need help with, just ask.)
He sounded like he just received candy. V's staying with me?! Why didn't I say no? I just made my life more complicated now!
I stared at Elena from across the room and saw movement. I just swore I saw a smile form.
