Meaning: Guilt In Japanese

Cheyenne's POV

I quickly ran back to the makeup room, expecting to see Elena awake and up. I was so excited to tell her my new job that I was slipping on this squeaky floor through the hallway. But I didn't care.

"Elena!" I yelled once I opened the makeup room door.

There were exclamations and gasps, but I just quickly scanned the room to find her. I did see the other members, which only excited me more. I could tell all of them at the same time!

Everyone turned their attention to me and gave me confused expressions. I took a deep breath.

"I'm hired to work here!" I squealed, maybe too much.

Everyone seemed to be shocked because they didn't reply, but just stare in silence. Then, there was a huge hugging session going on now. All the members, and Elena, all huddled me up in joy. Suga, well, he just stayed safe and avoided touching anyone too much.

"That's so great!" Elena shouted happily. I smiled at her. "You're going to be able to work with everyone, and...," Elena scooted close to my ear. "You'll be able to talk to V more." She said evilly. I felt a hint of heat.

"Shut up," I said, pushing her face away.

I suddenly felt bad, because what about Elena? What would she do when she's all alone? I bit my lip and frowned at her, which she noticed and addressed. I shook my head.

"What about you?" I asked her.

She looked at me straightly.

"I never thought about that, but, I'm happy for you. Have fun with them. You can just tell me what you did at work so that you get to share what drama might've happened. I'll just stay home and support you." Elena replied to me.

I felt really bad now. I knew Nana would be there for her and such, but I still felt bad.

"Maybe I can ask the manager if there are any open spots," I suggested, feeling hope form in my heart.

"That's okay, really," Elena said, laughing a bit before she looked behind herself to see the others. And..she frowned. "I am a little jealous though, I'll admit."

I looked at her curiously.

"Why, specifically?" I asked, my voice gentle.

"No reason in particular...," She said.

"Tell me," I said, pushing her thoughts.

"Well," She said. "Nevermind." And she just smiled and walked back to the others.

 I felt horrible.
