(A/N I'm VERY sorry for the lack of updates recently! I hope you can forgive me, and I'll TRY to get another chapter out today!)
Julia's P.O.V
"Th-that last question... he wasn't s-supposed to ask that one.." Alphys stutters, blushing deeply in embarassment. I don't really see that as a bad thing, though. In fact, Liz and I consider ourselves as quite the matchmakers (A/N Insert sassy hair flip here). From what I've seen, Undyne and Alphys are total opposites, so it might be difficult to get them together, but you know what they say... opposites attract, right?
"There's no need to be embarassed, Alphys" Liz says gently. "If you really want. Julia and I could totally get you guys to hang out! We already know a little about her, like, um... she absolutely LOVES cooking! She gets very enthusiastic about it, trust us..." She finishes, smiling nervously. Liz isn't wrong about Undyne's enthusiasm. I grin, thinking back to our cooking lesson, although I wouldn't really call it a cooking lesson since we kind of destroyed Undyne's house in the process... "Yeah," I giggle. "I was certain she would have murdered us for destroying her house, but she was totally okay with it!"
Now, I doubt we have anything to do here other than talk to Alphys, who seems uncomfortable around people, so we start heading for the back exit. "Wait, wait!" Alphys shouts. Liz and I stop and turn around. "Yeah? What's up?" I ask casually. She looks around nervously. "Let me give you me ph-phone number! Th-then... m-maybe if you need help. I could..." She trails off, and gives us what I'd imagine is a mix between a horrified and a shocked look once she sees the phones we were given by Toriel. Well, she is a lab scientist after all, so I can understand why she feels like that.
"Wh... where'd you get that phone!? It's ANCIENT!" Alphys exclaims. "It doesn't even have texting." Figuring she's just ranting, Liz and I are exchanging looks, saying 'Should we leave?'. Alphys, however, seems to notice this and takes initiative, for the first time we've seen so far, might I add. It might just be me, but she just seems a little weird.... in a good kind of way. "W-wait a second, please!" She says frantically. Alphys runs off with our phones, and I can hear a series of clanks and drilling. She returns a minute later with our phones, which are looking amazingly modified and brand new.
"Here, I upgraded it for you!" Alphys says happily. "It can do texting, items, it's got a key chain... I even signed you up for the underground's number 1 social network! Now we're officially friends! Ehehehe!" She laughs. "Heheh... heh..."
Her eyes dart around the room from item to item, hoping for some sort of distraction. Her eyes land on the door to the side of the lab. "I'm going to the bathroom." She says quickly, running to the door. I don't think that's a bathroom...
We exit the lab and the temperature comes up almost instantly. How can Alphys even stand it out here? Literally a few seconds after we start walking, Liz gets a notification on her phone. "It's Alphys!" She exclaims. "I thought she went to the bathroom?" I ask. I lean over and read the message.
'just realized i didn't watch undyne fight the humans v . v'
As we keep walking, she writes another message.
'well i know she's unbeatable i'll ask her abt it later ^.^'
And another.
'for now i gotta call up the humans and guide them =^.^='
"Does she ever get off her phone?" I ask honestly.
"I really don't know..." Lizzie replies.
Up ahead there's a treadmill path that we approach, and it's moving really fast. Carefully and deftly, we step onto it and we immediately take off and arrive at the other side. There's another one ahead, forming a snake-like path. Before we can even step on it, Liz gets another notification.
