(A/N shout out to my BFF @YoItzLizzie!! She is actually the character Liz, or Lizzie, in this story! :D AYYYYY GURL HOW YOU DOING?)

------------

Lizzie's P.O.V.

"Prove yourself... prove to me you are strong enough to survive!"

Those words echo in my head.

"I'll let you handle this one, Liz. Don't wanna freak out and murder someone. I don't feel entirely sane, you know." She says, pointing to the crack in her soul.

"Right." I nod. It's better this way, anyways. I could never kill Toriel. She's too sweet and innocent. However, there isn't really anything I can do, so I keep sparing and dodging fireballs as the battle drags on.

"What are you doing?" Toriel hisses.

Don't respond. Keep sparing.

"Attack or run away!"

Keep sparing.

"What are you proving this way?"

I can be strong, too.

"Fight me or leave!"

Spare.

"Stop it."

I can do this.

"Stop looking at me that way."

Keep dodging.

"Go away!"

Keep fighting.

She stopped attacking? Why?

"I know you want to go home, but... please, go upstairs now."

Keep sparing.

"I promise I will take good care of you here. I know we do not have much, but... we can have a good life here." She pauses. "Why are you making this so difficult? Please, go upstairs." She sighs. "Pathetic, is it not? I cannot even save a single child and her friend."

"Please, let us go Toriel." My voice is raspy due to the smoke from the fireballs.

"I understand. You would just be unhappy trapped down here. The ruins are very small once you get used to them. It would not be right for you two to grow up in a place like this. My expectations, my loneliness, my fear..." She perks up and smiles at us.

"For you, my children... I will put them aside."

She lowers her stance and approaches me.

"I will not stop you. However, when you leave... please do not come back. I hope you understand."

She leans down, hugs us both, and with that... shes gone.

"Well, that was rather dramatic." Julia says, leaning against a wall.

"Indeed. Let's go, shall we?"

"We shall."

Up ahead, we see a cheery, bright yellow figure. Flowey.

Julia's P.O.V.

"Oh lord, not this piece of garbage again." I mutter.

"This is all I need right now." Lizzie says.

"Clever. Verrrryyy clever. You two think you're really smart, don't you? In this world, it's kill or be killed."

"Now that's more like it." I say. What..? I didn't say that, did I?

"Seriously?!" Liz says.

"IT WASN'T ME, I TELL YA!"

She just sighs and turns away.

"So you were able to play by your own rules. You spared the life of a single person. Hee hee hee..." He laughs evilly. "I bet you feel really great. You didn't kill anybody this time. But what will you do if you meet a relentless killer? You'll die and you'll die and you'll die. Until you tire of trying."

Wow, he sounds so cliché.. it's ridiculous.

"What will you do then? Will you kill out of frustration? Or will you give up entirely on this world... and let ME inherit the power to control it?"

"Oh boy.. this ones a real dreamer." Liz says. (A/N HAHAHAH GET IT? DREAMER? Like Dreemurr? Because, you know... Asriel? Okay, I'll leave...)

"I am the prince of this world's future. Don't worry, my little monarchs, my plan isn't regicide. This is SO much more interesting."

He laughs evilly, again, and disappears into the ground.

"That flower seriously deserves to die." I say.

"I'm not normally the killing type, but he IS pretty evil." Lizzie responds.

"Oh well, let's keep going! Best not to let him catch up with us."

Up ahead is a door, and as soon as we exit it, the atmosphere changes. Snow. Everywhere. We seem to be in a forested area, but there's a path cut down for us, so we stick to that. As we're walking down, a shadow catches my eye. I look toward the figure but nothing is there. Must've been my imagination. I do, however, take out a weapon for precautions.

I hear it again. The shadow seems to materialize out of nowhere, and it is right behind us. I grip the knife tighter. It speaks.

"Don't you know how to greet a new pal?" The voice says gruffly. "Turn around and shake my hand."

We stiffen, then turn around, bracing ourselves for whatever is behind us.

Liz shakes 'it's' hand, and a whoopee cushion goes off. I try to stifle a laugh, but they both notice, earning a proud smile from the man and a glare from Lizzie. And then I notice.. It's a skeleton? Come to think of it, not very surprising since I've just met a goat woman who can shoot fireballs from her hands.

"Heheh, the old whoopee cushion in the hand trick. It's ALWAYS funny."

"Indeed." I say, giggling.

"Anyways, you two are humans, right? That hilarous. I'm Sans, Sans the skeleton. I'm actually supposed to be on watch for humans right now."

Liz and I look at each other worriedly. Sans seems to catch on and reassures us.

"But..." He continues. "Y'know, I don't, really care about capturing anybody."

We both sigh in relief.

"Now, my brother, Papyrus... he's a human-hunting FANATIC. Always talking about getting into the Royal Guard. You'll find out about that later. Actually, I think that's him over there. Don't worry, I have an idea. Go through this gate thingy. Yeah, go right through. My bro made the bars too wide to stop anyone."

So we walk through and he points to two lamps.

"Quick, behind these two extremely conveniently-shaped lamps."

We hide behind them, as instructed, poised behind them waiting to see what his brother is like. He sounds intimidating, but Sans mentioned that he made the bars on that gate too wide to stop anyone, so he doesn't seem too bright. Then, we hear footsteps approach and pray that we aren't seen.

"SANS!"

------------

Okay, I'm done writing for the day. I have a headache from the screen, my arms hurt from typing, and my neck is sore from looking up and down consistently. Alright, alright. I'll stop complaining. I'll see if I can get in more chapters tomorrow. (Depending on whether I have homework or not. ;-;)

Until next time! ♥♥♥
