"Yes ?" Aaliyah asks with a attitide towards Tyree.

"Can we talk ?"

"Nah, I'm good. " She turned her head away from him. He grabbed her hand gently making her stand up and they walked off somewhere.

Travis looked at me and sat beside me "Came to support boyfriend in practice I see. " I didn't say nothing I just looked down hoping he would go listen to Tyree them conversation or something. "Now we ain't talking ?" I just sighed and I still didn't say anything "Why you with him ?" I snapped my head at him.

"What ?"

He chuckled and looked at me and got closer to me and I started breathing heavy looking at him. I even forgot all my surroundings for a moment he looked at my lips then back at me I was so nervous right now then he backed away "Do he make you feel like that ?"

"W-What ?"

"When I get the slightest bit close to you , you get hella nervous you tense up I can feel it and see it in your face Ma. " I didn't say a thing I just started thinking Did Chris ever make me feel like that ? "Why you with him ?"

I looked up at him." Because I love him I mean we been dating for 4 years now. "

"Kerra I can see it in your face that you not with him cause you love him."

"What are you talking about ?" I snapped at him.

"You convince yourself you love him when in reality you don't just admit the real reason you with him cause it's not because you love him cause if you did I wouldn't be able to make you feel like that in a matter 3 days ma."

I just stared at him thinking about his words when the whistle blew signaling practice was over. I looked towards the field and they was getting in they clap break, I looked back over at Travis, he smirked and walked away .I just grapped my bag and went out to my car and waited for Chris to come out When Aaliyah walked up to me. "Tyree wouldn't let me go till I forgave him. "

"Did you? " She nodded and looked at me like she knew something "What ?"

"Wassup with you and Travis cause when he came by us and he looked irritated and in love. " I looked at her. I mean I wanted to tell her but I needed to figures things out myself before I go telling her my problems.

I shrugged "I don't know. " She looked at me not believing it. Chris came out Thank God.

"Hey Baby. Wassup Aaliyah ?"

"Hey Breezy. " She gave him a small smile.

"What y'all doing Friday cause my boy throwing a party and he invited the whole football team and I'm inviting y'all so y'all wanna go ? " We both nodded "Coo I'll call you tonight bae. " He gave me a kiss " See ya later Liyah. " He got in his car and left.

~Friday Night ~

So it's the night of the party and I really don't feel like going cause I got a headache but Aaliyah excited about it so I guess I'll go I put on some light wash high waist shorts a pink shirt that said baddie and my timberlands and straightened my hair so that it was bone straight I texted Aaliyah and told her I was on my way and I grabbed my keys and went downstairs."Where you going ?" My mom asks.

"A party. " I never went to a high school party so this is new for me and my parents.

"Is Chris gonna be there ?" My Dad asked.

"Yeah he's the one that invited me. " They both nodded and I left.

We pulled up at the party and got out the car and went inside. "Damn it's hype in here. " Aaliyah grew more excited as we walked in. Tyree came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her and pulled her away.

Great.

"Wassup? " I turned around and it was Travis standing there with a drink in his hand.

"Hi. " I spoke. Chris came between us standing infront of me face to face.

"Hey , it's a pool outside wanna go In with me." He asked. I can tell he was anxious to go in but I didn't feel like getting all my clothes wet and having to walk around like that.

"Nah, I'm good bae. " I said. He gave me a disappointing look.

"Alright." He gave me a kiss on the cheek and walked off.

"Why didn't you go ?"

"I didn't have change of clothes." He just laughed at me. "What ?"

He grabbed my hand and took me upstairs where it was quiet we just stood in the hallway. "Are you gon' answer my question ?"

"I told you because I love him and he makes me happy ." He was starting to irritate me with these Chris questions.

He just smiled at me while leaning on the wall and folding his arms. " Foreal ?" I nodded and he laughed

"He makes you happy but you never smile while you with him, your barely with him and you look annoyed when he even comes by you. "

"What are-"

"You love him but y'all barely talk, y'all barely even kiss and on top of that you up here with me instead of outside with him jumping into a pool. "

"Why do you care ?" I snapped at him.

"Cause I like you Kerra but I cant get to you while you got that boyfriend but then I realize you have no emotions towards him that's why every time I get close to you, you tense up and everytime you get a chance to hang with me you always come." He backed me up against the wall and kissed me I was shocked at first but then I kissed back completely forgetting that were at a party but then i jump back into reality so I pushed him off and he looked at me confused.

"Stop trying to get in my head , and maybe I don't show it but I do love him, Alright ?"

"Oh yeah? " He said " Then why haven't you slapped me and went outside with your boyfriend yet but no your still up here with me trying to convince me you love him when your really tryin to convince yourself." And with that he walked off away from me right now I was so confused
