HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE

I woke to a cold breeze brush past my cheek. I groaned and sat up, looking around groggily. The window was open. I looked to Jene's bed and saw that she was there, sound asleep. My eyes widened and I knew Birch had left. I jumped out of bed and turned on the lights. Jene gasped and sat up. "What are you doing?!?!" She shirked. I walked to a dresser and grabbed some clothes, not looking to see what they were.

"Get dressed, quickly." I ordered. She noticed that Birch wasn't there and did what I told her to do. She looked at me and gasped. "What?" I asked.

She shook her head. "It's nothing. You just look weird wearing that." She told me. I walked to the mirror and looked at myself. I was wearing dark green yoga pants and a long sleeved dark green shirt. They fit me perfectly. Creepy. I shook my head and looked at Jene. She was wearing similar clothing to mine. Same shirt and pants just in a purple. I slid on my sneakers and went to the window. "What are you doing?" She asked.

I answer as I slid my legs out the window. "This is where Birch went." I told her, falling onto the ledge. "Come on, we need to move fast." She nodds and follows me. I see the small ledge of bricks. Weird. We duck inside a window and dash into the hall. I hear talking. I run as fast as I can, hoping I'm not to late. I don't know why I feel so frightened. I come to an open door and see Butler's large frame blocking the inside. I tap on his shoulder. He turns quickly and looks at me, shocked. He sighed and moved aside.

Inside, Birch and Holly are silent, standing around Artemis. He is talking on the phone. I give Birch a questioning look. She grabbed my shoulder and whispers in my ear; "Artemis is speaking to Abigale Rush." She tells me. I gasped. Artemis shot me a look telling me to be quiet. He sighed.

"I will. Hang on." He said to Rush. He took the phone off of his ear, pressed a few buttons and the large TV came to life. Standing there, was Abigale Rush. . . . In her hands, holding them by the collar of their shirts, was Myles and Beckett Fowl. Artemis made a noise somewhere between a sob, gasp and scream. He fell to his knees, hands trembling. Butler was at his side in a split second. Rush snickered.

"Well, look's like the master mind has a weak point!" She smriked. Artemis was having a break down, or as close to a break down he has ever had. He shook his head, his eyes wide with fright.

"If you do anything to those boys, I will let Artemis kill you. And he will make sure it will be long and painful!" Butler growled, placing a hand on Artemis's shoulder. Rush just smiled.

"Like this?" She asked. She released her hold on the boy's collars and they fell to the ground with a cry. "Oops!" She said, shrugging. Artemis balled his fists. "Come and get me, you gibbering moron! You can just trace this call! Have fun! Oh, and this one's for the girls!" She laughed, looking at Birch and I. With a swift movement, she kicked something near her leg. Once of the boys cried out in pain. Artemis made the strange sound again. The screen went black, leaving the faint outline of Rush's smile. 'Like the Chesterfield cat' I thought to myself.

Artemis was still on the floor, his shoulders hunched forward and his head down. "Artemis, get up." Butler told him. Artemis took a shaky breath and slowly stood. He took another breath and wiped down his suit. "Are you okay?" Butler asked.

"Yes. I am now. I lost my composure. We will find where she is and get my brothers back and killing her in the process." He said bluntly. Jene gasped. He turned and looked at her.

"You would just kill her? What if she can help Stella and Birch?" She asked. He had a cold look in his eyes.

"Anyone who causing harm to anyone close to me will pay. I might decide to let her live long enough to tell us useful information, but now, I am filled with a burning passion that is defined as hate." He told her. She shrunk back with every sentence. He turned and started typing on his laptop. I looked to Birch and back to Artemis. I walked forward and put a hand on his shoulder. "Yes?" He asked, not looking at me.
