The song for chapter three is "Lovestruck" - Madness, I think it works well for Noah in this chapter.

I've also added a picture of Evie, just imagine her with black-rimmed, square glasses.

"What?!" All three exclaimed in unison, well that sobered them up. I smiled ruefully and looked them all.

"I said Noah McCaskill's about to hit on me!" Each of their jaws dropped for the second time in a minute, leaving them all speechless and incredulous.

"How could you know that?" Casey was the first to recover some composure and manage to put a whole question together and get it out in more than just incommunicable grunts.

"I just heard him make a bet with Nick Arnold that he could 'nail' me within a month." Again all their mouths opened in shock and surprise. I shook my head, I still couldn't believe it myself.

"What? Really? That's awful."

"I know. I always knew Nick was a douchebag but I never thought Noah would sink that low." He's always been a jerk and used girls but he's never done anything this bad, as far as I knew he wasn't a gambler and I wouldn't have thought he'd bet on something like this. But I must have been wrong.

"Mmm. I know what you mean, he's never been that stupid. And he really hates Nick, so it's strange he'd even talk to him." Casey said thinking. I leaned against the wall behind me, every word I'd heard running through my head.

I tried to remember something that made it a joke or made it better, but there wasn't anything. He really was a bastard, they both were; I actually entertained the possibility of sleeping with Noah just to spite Nick but I really wasn't that type of person.

"This is your opportunity to humiliate him. I mean no girl ever refuses Noah, imagine being the first and at a party in front of anybody who's anybody from school. It would totally destroy him!" Robin had a crazy glint in her eyes as she thought about that plan. She'd been plotting ways to get back at Noah since he dumped Rae but a suitable opportunity had never presented itself; this seemed perfect, almost too perfect.

It didn't seem like he would suffer enough; yes he'd be publicly humiliated at a party in front of all the people who looked up to him, but I was a nobody to them anyway. They'd find it funny Noah had been rejected by a geek, but they'd all probably forget by Monday morning and he'd already be looking for his next victim.

No he needed something worse, he'd need a humiliation that lasted longer, something that made up not only for Rae but all the other girls whose heart's he'd broken.

Maybe I could play him, make him fall in love with me and then I could break his heart, give him a taste of his own medicine. Well, making him fall in love is probably a bit of a stretch but maybe I could string him along for a month then dump him just before his bet runs out.

The more I thought about the idea, the more I liked it; if I dated Noah it'd scare Nick for a month, serving him right for making the bet in the first place. I mean he'd win in the end, but he'd go through a month of hell not knowing if he'd lose or not.

"Oh oh! Evie you've got that look, like some cartoon super villain with a master plan. I don't like it when you've got that face." Casey frowned and crossed her arms waiting for me to divulge my plan.

She was an optimist and always happy but she did worry about her friends; it was one of the things I loved about her. She cared about us so much and was always the first to come up with a solution when one of us had a problem.
