III. Mystery Boyfriend

"So, Asuna, do you have a boyfriend?" Mira suddenly asked after things had died down.

"W-what...? No... Don't be silly." I waved her off.

"Mhm... Who is he?" Levy nudged me.

"Juvia is also curious."

"Y-you'll meet him soon enough." I blushed.

"So you do have a boyfriend." Lucy teased.

"A mystery boyfriend." Lisanna giggled.

"Sounds interesting." Erza said.

"Heh... Yeah." My phone rang. "I gotta take this."

"Go ahead. It's probably your mystery man." Cana snickered. I rolled my eyes and ran outside, picking up the phone.

"Hello...? I'll be there in ten... Yes... Yes... I love you too... Bye." I hung up and ran back inside.

"Was that your boyfriend?" Lisanna asked.

"I-I gotta go... I'll see you guys tomorrow I guess." I slung my bag over my shoulder.

"It was!" Mira giggled as I ran for the door.

It was late by the time I got home. My body was tired and sore from the endless training, but I felt stronger. I flicked my bedroom light on to see Natsu seated at my desk.

"Oh, hey. Welcome home." He looked at me and frowned. "Lucy's house is much more fun than yours."

"What...are you doing here?" I rubbed my temples.

"He's trying to solve the mystery behind your 'mystery boyfriend'." Happy stated. My ears twitched angrily.

"Happy... It was supposed to be a secret mission..." Natsu put my notebook down.

"It's not a secret of she caught us Natsu." Happy pointed out. Natsu folded his arms and sulked.

"Wait a minute, wait a minute... Lemme get this straight..." I pinched the bridge of my nose. "You both snuck in my house, went through my personal belongings...all to find out- Who's brilliant idea was this...?"

"Natsu's. He only did it 'cause- Mmph!" Natsu covered the cat's mouth.

"Look... I'm really tired... Both of you go home so I can get some sleep..."

"...See you later..." Natsu dragged Happy out.

Finally alone, I reorganized my desk. I didn't even bother to take a shower, I just flopped into bed. In no time at all, I was out like a light.
