When I woke up everything still was black. I blinked again but still I couldn't see anything. I tried calling out for Bash but something was in the way. Then a door opened. I could hear footsteps getting louder as they came my way. Then it removed my blindfold. I blinked twice and looked around; Bash was nowhere to be seen. Instead there was a boy. He was fairly young twenty years of age at most and he smelled of the ocean. He then lifted the gag out of my mouth and stepped back as I caught my breath.
¨Who are you and where are you taking me?¨ I asked still out of breath.
¨My name is Jack, and you are on board the Flying Dragon.¨
¨I want to go home. Where's Bash.¨
¨Bash? The boy you came with?¨
¨Yes now let me go.¨ I was squirming around.
Jack came over and squatted down next to me, ¨Look, I really want to let you go, but capt'n would never allow it. Here.¨ He said coming closer.
He pulled me forward and loosened the ropes. I wiggled my hands out and stood up. Then I punched Jack in the face. Then for good measure, I kicked him in the shins really hard, and ran out the door. I went into the cabin next to me and opened the door.
¨Bash!¨ I yelled. No Bash.
Then I went to the dining room. No Bash. Soon after that I went down to the dungeon. No Bash. Finally the only place left I could think to look was on the deck. There was Bash. He was about to walk the plank!
¨No!¨ I yelled,
Bash turned around and gave me a sad smile, his eyes were big like a puppy dog's. It looked like he knew he was about to die.
¨Bash wait!¨ I called out all of the other pirates looked my way.
¨What is she doi'n here Jack? No worries we can trade 'em off later. Lock 'em away.¨
For some reason when he said lock 'em away I thought he meant in the dungeon. But when Jack opened up an unoccupied office and pushed us in I was a bit shocked. Better that I don't ask questions though. Luckily, my hands weren't tied this time and I could actually look out the window. Bash was rubbing the top of his head and I have to admit that I didn't blame him. The weapon that they had used to knock us out was definitely going to leave a mark.
Sunset came and my stomach growled. Jack came in with a bowl of mush and beautiful blue gown.
¨Capt'n wants to have dinner with you and he wants you to wear this.¨ Jack handed me the dress.
¨But what about Bash?¨ I asked. Jack pointed to the bowl of mush,
¨Well that's his supper. Enjoy. And uh I'll be back in about thirty minutes time to take you to dinner.¨ I slipped on the fine satten. How could such ruthless pirates carry such beautiful clothing. I also brushed my hair for the first time in a week. I turned around so I could face Bash.
¨Well,¨ I said, ¨How do I look?¨ Bash dropped his spoon filled with mush.
¨Wow, you look amazing.¨
¨Really?,¨ I said looking down. Then I remembered, Bash hadn't seen me in anything other than the dress that I first met him in. A knock at the door broke the silence between us. Then Jack came in.
