¨Leaving!¨ Exclaimed Bash standing up,
¨But why should we trust you?¨ I asked.
Jack looked down at his feet, ¨I know that in the past-¨
¨You mean in the last day.¨
¨In the last day, happy? I have not been the most trustworthy version of myself; BUT the crew is gone and I want to help.¨ I too stood up,
¨And why should we trust you?¨ He stepped closer to us and we took a few steps back.
¨I'm not saying you should. I'm just trying to help because I'm leaving. I only asked if you wanted to come.¨ I looked up at Bash who was roughly six inches taller than me. He gave me a what the heck look and so I said,
¨Fine, but only on one condition.¨ I picked up a pair of handcuffs, ¨You have to wear these.¨ Jack looked at the handcuffs for a minute before finally saying,
¨Okay fine.¨
I slipped the handcuffs around Jack's hairy arms and Bash had the honor of locking them. Then we had to get off the ship but where to was the question. Jack went first looking both ways before saying all clear. We left the ship and stepped onto Oasis.
My feet rocked back and forth; I hadn't been on land for such a long time.
¨Let's go,¨ Said Bash. We ran into the woods with nowhere to go. As we moved deeper in I could start to see pebbles of pure gold. I tugged on Bash's shirt sleeve.
"Bash, look!" Bash looked and his eyes widened. In front of us was the temple of Mondue. I had read stories about it but I never knew that it was real. What made it such an attraction was its golden temple. People from all around the world came to drink from the golden gorge. Then Bash tapped on my shoulder, Jack said
¨Quick down,¨ We all ducked.
¨What was that?¨ I asked.
¨The pirates, we have to be careful okay?¨
¨Yeah,¨ I said exhaling. I stood up and wiped the dirt off of my dress. ¨We have to keep going.¨ I said, ¨Let's go.¨ Bash pushed Jack forward. We wandered through the woods for a while before Jack asked to sit. We found some logs similar to the ones that I met Bash at and took a seat.
Part of me was relieved to sit but I had an uneasy feeling that the pirates would find us. Bash went over to a moss covered hill and leaned up against it. Then there was a crack.
¨Bash,¨ I yelled. But it was too late. Bash had fallen through a secret hole. ¨I'm coming. Don't worry. Let's go.¨ I said pushing Jack down the hole. I jumped after him landing with a thud. The place looked strange. It had a dirt floor and a cauldron in the middle. Other than that it looked like a normal home with a fire and a cot. But our moments of luxury were interrupted when we heard voices at the top.
