A Kingdom's Clash

Chapter 10

¨It's witchcraft!¨ One of the pirates said as they fell to the ground. I looked at the two other people who were standing. It was Bash and Jack.

¨Guys are you okay? Bash what happened?¨ Bash rubbed his head as he stood up.

¨Um well I was walking back to the ship when the pirates stopped me right at the exit. Then they grabbed me and waited until you came. I promise I didn't tell them anything.¨ I walked over putting one arm around him back.

¨It's okay the important thing is that you're safe.¨ I lied, we weren't safe. Yet. ¨Guys we have to get out of here. The pirates are knocked out for now. That means that their ship is unoccupied. I say let's steal it and ride out of here.¨ Jack stood up,

¨I agree. Just one question, what knocked out the pirates?¨ I shrugged my shoulders,

¨I don't know.¨ I looked down at my hands and then remembered. ¨Guys it's the ring. The ring that the goblins gave us. It's a protective ring. That's why all of the pirates fell to the ground.¨ Bash then stood up and asked,

¨So why is he still standing?¨ All eyes went back to Jack.

¨Hey, don't look at me.¨ He said while raising his hands up. But then it hit me,

¨Jack are you even a pirate?¨ Shock washed over Jack's face.

¨Yes, of course I am. I am in training.¨

¨So you're not even a real pirate?¨

¨Well, no.¨ Great now I had a useless pirate with us.

¨Can you at least steer a ship?¨ Jack came closer and as he held up his hands he said,

¨That depends, are you going to let me go?¨ I looked at Bash and he shrugged. After a minute we decided that it would be best if we kept him in handcuffs until we were on the ship.

Once we got past the pirates and made it onto the ship Bahs's first question was,

¨So, where to?¨
