Haikyuu Kuroo x Reader

It was strange seeing Kuroo in his normal life. He just seemed so different yet exactly the same. When he saw you he smirked at you and you just stuck your tongue out at him back. By about the second set Oikawa came on and he wasn't just being cocky at the dinner table. He was good at volleyball. So was Kuroo but Oikawa just had such light hands when he set it for their ace. It was obvious that Oikawa was a setter but you couldn't figure out what Kuroo did. He was always changing spots and it was hard to keep track.

Eventually the game ended and Nekoma won. You were waiting for Oikawa to get changed when someone tapped you on the shoulder.

"Hi" a short boy in a Nekoma uniform said. You thought you recognized him as the setter for Nekoma.

"Can I help you?" You asked slightly annoyed and wishing Oikawa would just hurry up.

"Are you Kuroo's girlfriend?" The boys asked like it was more of a statement then a question.

"No" you replied slightly blushing then added "who even are you?"

"Kenma. Kuroo's best acquaintance. Sorry for the intrusion" he ended walking away.

"I'm so glad you came" You heard Kuroo's voice behind you.

"Ya it's actually a long story. I'll have to tell you some other time" you sighed in awe of how good he looked even when he was all sweaty and gross.

"You're very dressed up" he observed and you couldn't decide if he was blushing or just flushed from the game.

"Also part of my long story" you laugh a little.

"Well say around 10? I want to hear that story" he asked with a smirk.

"Sure" you replied awkwardly. Then he suddenly got really close to you and you could smell all the BO but you were trying to hide your blush so much you hardly noticed.

"You look really beautiful" he whispered before running away.

You found the door and decided to wait outside for Oikawa who was taking forever. Why would Kuroo say that? He must have been joking and smirking the whole time. I'm just entertainment. That's all. He didn't really mean it.

"We need to get back" Oikawa said before dragging you to the train station.

"Good game" you tried complimenting as you both sat on the train.

"We might've won if I had shown up on time" he replied like he was frustrated.

"Oh don't be like that. You're really good but you have a good team" you reply trying to sound like you genuinely know what you're talking about.

"Ya. You're right" he replies scolding himself.

"Who is the ace?" You ask quietly hoping you aren't being too annoying.

"Iwazumi Hajime. My best friend" Oikawa replies with a genuine bright smile on his face.

"You guys do really well together" you compliment again. Oikawa smiles even more.

"Ya. But Kuroo though. He's the one you're looking at" he teases again.

"Look it's our stop" you reply standing up and trying to change the subject.

"Oh and by the way you do look really nice tonight. He would be stupid to not notice you" Oikawa kept pressing.

"We are friends" you replied through clenched teeth.

"Oh ya and me and Iwa-chan are just friends" he says using air quotes.

"What?!!!" You ask stopping your pace and grabbing his arm.
