You woke up on Saturday morning feeling like hell. You'd barely gotten any sleep and still felt the guilt of Koushi forcing a smile through the tears of you telling him about the circumstances. You were nervous that Kuroo would roll up any second and destroy everything. You'd only been dating for a few weeks maybe a little over a month now and he already said he loved you. You weren't sure you could say it back at this point and really mean it. You got up and checked your phone only to see a text from Tetsurou letting him know he couldn't actually come to Sendai. His parents must've talked him out of it. You were thanking god for that.

You heard a knock on your hotel room door and went to open it not realizing you were just in your pyjamas and bedhead. It was Suga.

"Morning sleepy head! You should get ready I'll wait in the hall" he smiled before shutting the door on your face. You heard him sigh through the door which just made you even more angry. You hadn't had the chance to yell at your parents yet.

After you got ready into your favourite outfit instead of some dress your mother packed you opened the door.

You tried to give him the benefit of the doubt "Hey. If you don't want to see me I-"

"Nope. We aren't going to talk about that today" he interrupts grabbing your hand and walking down the hall.

"Suga please stop faking it like this okay" you ask and he let's go.

"I'm not faking it. This is really how I want to act around you. Eventually you will fall in love with me again." He keeps walking. Damn it all just let him think that. Don't crush him again.

"Okay let's go!" You try to bring back up the enthusiasm and he smiles. Maybe it was real.

~time skip~

You were both at the park you used to play at. You were sitting on the swings aging a contest who could sing higher. Eventually you were both on the ground laughing. You realized it felt good to have a friend who knew you. Yukie was nice but she didn't really know you yet. Koushi knew the old you and you knew he cared. Someone had been caring for you your whole life and you had no idea.

"I'm sorry to wreck the day but I have to tell you something and please don't be mad" Koushi starts and you stop your train of thought.

"Go ahead. I won't be mad" you nod grinning at him.

"I told my parents and your parents about the lack in communication. They argued for a long time last night. I think our engagement might be off. So don't worry your boyfriend or other fiancé too much over me. I took you out today because the parents have probably been arguing about it all day" he says all very matter of factly.

I wish it wasn't off. You think to yourself. You look at Koushi and your heart melts. You care about him even if it's not in the romantic way he cares about you. Tetsurou is a lose cannon and your relationship could go off at any second. He thinks he's in love but he doesn't even know what he's saying half the time. Could you ever think about Suga the way you think about Kuroo? You sense the little part of yourself say yes but then suppress it. No you won't.

"Say something please y/n" Koushi says trying to analyze your response.

"Thank you" you smile a real genuine smile and his face goes wide in shock.

You and Koushi walk back to the house and your parents car is all packed up. You give Suga a quick hug before loading into the vehicle.

"Text me sometime!" He yells after the car and you yell out the window back "I will!"

The second your window shuts your parents start screaming at you. You just stare out the window and prepare for the long ride home.

When you finally get home they tell you to go to your room. You do as told but then proceed straight out the window, across the roof, onto the deck and into the forest.

You walk through to the spot and tackle a sleeping Kuroo with a hug.

"You scared me" he yawns wrapping his arms around you.

"I'm so happy you're here" you reply trying to climb off him but he holds you against him.

"I love you" he whispers and you flinch a little bit at hearing it out loud in person.

"You really know how to make a girl fall for you" you try to joke away the seriousness and he plays along with a classic smirk.

"I will make you say you love me one day" he replies plastering on a shit eating grin.

"Challenge accepted" you reply before rolling away from him.

"Want to come over? Watch a movie or something? Some de stressing?" He asks with a silly eyebrow cocked up.

"Maybe later. Technically my parents think I'm in my room right now. But I'll definitely come by later" you reply getting up and he pouts a little.

"Okay see you tonight" he smirks as you walk away.
