Forever

(A/N: reading week is a little break after mid terms where there are no classes... that's what we call it here and I don't know if it's everywhere so just a heads up)

To say the first year of university was difficult is an understatement. Tetsurou was never home because he was always at practice or in games. You were always busy studying even when he was home.

Your relationship was drowning. You missed spending time with him.

One day he came home from a tournament and you had just finished your midterms. You were not going to study and were just going to be there with him.

"Hi" you greeted as he came inside.

"Oh hi. I'm so tired. How did your exams go?" He asks with the exhaustion clear on his face.

"Alright. I guess I'll see when the scores come back. How was the tournament?" You asked.

"We got second to some American team... I got next to no playing time. It just wasn't that great. I just want to sleep" he replies.

"Okay but can we talk tomorrow?" You ask helping him to your bedroom.

"Ya for sure. It's reading week break. I can't wait to spend time with you" he smiles before collapsing on the mattress.

"Sleep tight. I love you" you whisper playing with his hair before you fall asleep too.

~next day~

You wake up with your face right next to Kuroo's. He looks so refreshing in the morning while he's sleeping. Suddenly his eyes burst open.

"Good morning beautiful. I noticed you starring" he says while wiggling his eyebrows.

"Good morning. And I was starring because you look amazing. What do you want to do today? It's reading week. We have all day to not study or practice" you lean over to kiss him.

"I thought about it and let's go out. Hit the town. Show off how awesome we are" he smirks.

"Okay I'm going to shower and I think you should too" you suggest because you both reek.

You start to roll out of bed but he grabs you and pulls you close.

"I know you're super excited about the whole shower thing but let's just sleep in a little longer" he says with his lazy voice.

"Gladly" you reply turning into his arms and gently kissing him. He kisses you back. You decide to try and intensify the kiss which he instantly helps you do.

"Hey let's go to the shower" he smiles.

You both lazily strip while making out and finding your way to the bathroom.

You were both in the shower trying to shower and do other things at the same time. It was mostly just tripping over each other between touching each other or reaching for shampoo bottle but it was still more intimate than you'd been in months. When it was all over you both got dressed and went out to hit the town.

First the two of you went out for lunch...

"Do you feel like we've drifted apart?" He asks suddenly.

"Yes and I'm sorry" you reply honestly.

"I'm sorry too. I've been all grumpy with being a first year with no playing time-" he starts but you cut in.

"No I've been studying even when you are home. We're both caught up and we will have to work on it" you add.

"I think you are being too hard on yourself" he says grabbing your hand.

"Thanks and I'm sorry" you reply.

"Stop apologizing. We're both at fault here. Let's try harder to be together more again. How long have we been together now?" He asks.

"A little bit more then a year I think" you reply.

"Well jeez when did we officially get together?" He asks.

"I don't know. That was never too important to me. It was just that I was with you and that was enough to make me happy" you reply.

"You're so cute. I miss listening to you" he compliments.

"It'll get better in second year" you say hopefully.

"Ya you're right" you agree.

~time skip to second year~

You were both right. First year of university was the hardest. Tetsurou got a spot on the starting lineup. You were managing studying in a way that you always had time for Kuroo.

You were happy with each other.

You were out for dinner one Saturday night right after the first term had finished. He was all dressed up in a suit and you were all dressed up in your favourite dress. It was one of those restaurants that rotated at the top so you could spin around and see all the view of the city.

"Hey you know we've now been together for probably two years and a bit" Tetsurou stated.

"Ya I guess we have. Probably even getting close to three" you giggle a little at the thought.

"Why is that funny?" He asks starring at you.

"Well I never thought that I'd love someone this much. Never mind that person be as amazing as you" you reply honestly.

"I guess I should get this out of the way then" he starts and then clears his throat.

"Y/N, you are the most wonderful person I have ever met. Not a day goes by when I doubt that you are the most important part of my life. I know I've said this before but I can't picture ever being without you. And I mean that with all of my heart. So I know we're young and maybe this is just stupid of me" He gets out of his chair and gets down on one knee "but will you please consider marrying me?" He asks pulling a box out of his jacket and opening it.

You're so overwhelmed and can feel every part of you wanting to say yes. But you're so young. You've only been together two years and a bit. Even so deep down you know what you want.

"Yes. I want to be with you forever" you reply and he lets out his breath he'd been holding.

"I love you so much" he says skidding the ring into your finger.

"I love you more" you reply instantly looking straight into his eyes.

"That's impossible" he says while kissing you like there's no tomorrow.

"So now we're together forever?" You ask after the kiss. He looks at you with such an amazing glance that you feel frozen before he speaks.

"We will always be together forever"
