Haikyuu Kuroo x Reader

You had a date with Oikawa tonight. Yukie had already figured out your entire life story. You barely posted on Facebook or Instagram so you didn't know how she so effectively stalked you online. Yet you found it endearing.

When you went home you found a new dress on your bed probably for the date. You did all your makeup and hair up nice so your parents would believe you were actually into this whole Oikawa thing. When you came downstairs your mom fawned over how grown up and beautiful you were while your dad just gave you the "don't screw this up" talk for the thousandth time. When the doorbell finally rang you practically sprinted out the door.

"Hi. Let's go" you fretted quickly before dragging Oikawa off the front steps.

"You don't want a little show for your parents?" He teases but you were unamused.

You both didn't want to go to a fancy restaurant so you ended up suggesting Kenmas place. Oikawa didn't really care too much either way. At the end of dinner you both split the bill and then went to some park to sit and talk.

"You know in my neck of the woods no one knows about Kuroo and you" Oikawa starts.

"Well in mine everyone knows about you and Kuroo" you sigh.

"Iwazumi is getting kind of ticked about us being engaged" he suddenly changes the topic.

"Well if you want we can just tell our parents we want new people. Or don't want to be engaged at all" you suggested but Oikawa just laughs.

"You and I both know they will never let this go. Plus you're the only suitor who hasn't instantly fallen head over heals just based on my looks" you grins and tries to charm you.

"I have a boyfriend who I think is significantly hotter then you" you tease.

"So do I" Oikawa replies sticking out his tongue.

"Why is Iwazumi mad?" You ask.

"Well we had an argument and so i wanted to make him mad which I did by telling him I kissed you" he cringes a little at the retelling of his disaster.

"Why would you do that? Why were you fighting? Don't you love this guy?" You start spewing questions left right and centre.

"We were fighting because a girl hit on him really aggressively and ended up kissing him. He didn't have anything to do with it really but I was still mad. The big problem was instead of letting me know that he didn't kiss her back he just said 'I can't kiss a girl but you can have a fiancé' and then I got all mad and wanted to make him mad. It's just a mess but I do still love him." Oikawa looked so mad at himself he was almost in tears.

"Give me your phone" you request. He looks slightly confused but gives it to you anyways. You open up the contacts and find Iwazumi and press dial.

"Stop. Don't do that it'll make it worse" Oikawa tries to grab the phone.

It rings but in the end you only get the answering machine. Oikawa sighs in relief.
"You've reached Iwazumi leave a message after the tone" *beep*

"Hi Iwazumi. You don't really know me but I'm Oikawa's fake fiancé. I would just like to let you know that he did not kiss me. I would never let that idiot near me. He lied to make you angry because he's stupid. He is definitely still super in love with you. He will call to say sorry directly after I finish this message so please forgive this dumbass for his stupidity. I don't like Oikawa in a romantic way at all so please be advised that I am no threat to you. Actually I admire you for dealing with him on such a regular basis because I can't even survive an hour to please our parents. My point is Oikawa is sorry he lied and will tell you himself shortly. Thanks"

Oikawa looks at you shocked.

"What? it was a good message" you compliment yourself.

"He's going to be sooo mad. He hates you" Oikawa says before grabbing his phone back.

"You have to call him now because I said you would" you prompt him and he just glares.

Oikawa walks away just far enough that you can't hear him. You see he's on the phone so you're satisfied that maybe their relationship fight might be over. You eventually get bored of waiting for Oikawa and start to walk home.

Oikawa catches up to you and give you a hug "thanks" he whispers.

"Okay so for a little show for the parents at the door I'm going to kiss you on the cheek. If you're okay with that?" He asks. You shrug.

You get to the door and pull the whole "I really had a good time tonight" because you can see your father watching through the front window. You nod slightly and Oikawa grabs your hands and leans forward lightly kissing you on the cheek so you fake smile to pretend you're happy. Final good nights are exchanged before you head in the door.

"You and Oikawa seem to be getting along just fine" your father smirks.

"Ya I guess he's alright" you shrug before trudging into the kitchen.

"You see the thing is I had another person contact me. You actually used to be good friend with their son. They are from up by Sendai where we lived when you were little." He continues and you just sigh.

"You want to risk pissing off the Oikawa's?" You ask a little annoyed by his request.

"No. I just want you to know there are more options. So we will be driving to Sendai this weekend to meet with them" he continues.

"Thank you for asking if I had plans first. I really appreciate it" you sass him but he just walks away. Damn a drive all the way to Sendai is going to be boring.

You decide to text Kuroo and let him know and you get all the warm lovey feelings when you read his first name on your phone.

^hi. Don't be mad but my dad is making me meet another potential fiancé in Sendai this weekend. I'm sorry we can't hang out.
