Flash Fic.
Carrie was at the studio the whole day whereas her husband stayed home.
Mike had been on the internet surfing through sites and reading through blogs the moment he woke up. He wasn't exactly sure on how he ended up in his office facing his laptop for the whole day.
Carrie frowned when she stepped in their three-storey house when no one greeted her after calling out for her husband saying she was home, not even the dogs.
Mike thought he heard something in the living room, finally deciding it was enough for the day, leaving his office with a grin on his face. Just when he thought the dogs were already awake, the sight of his wife, hanging her coat on the rack greeted him.
Carrie smiled when she felt Mike's arms wrapping around her. "Hey." She spoke, turning her head to the side to look at him and peck his lips.
"Hi, how was your day?" Mike asked, as they walked to the couch and sat down, with her on his lap.
"Good but I'm tired." Carrie rested her head on his shoulders and closed her eyes.
"Okay." Mike mumbled and then tilted his head she he was facing her. "Aren't you going to ask about mine?" He pouted.
"Oh I'm sorry, I just assumed that you were resting all day." The wife replied and caressed his cheek. "How was your day?"
Mike then grinned. "It was very interesting." He pulled her a little bit more closer to him and rested his chin on her shoulders. "You see I happen to find this blog made by some fan of two celebrities and I found some interesting facts."
"You read a random person's blog but not mine?" Carrie pouted.
"Oh hush you I'm not done talking."
"But wait, are you serious? Did you really read blogs or are you just shitting me?"
"I said hush." Mike chuckled, placing his hand over her mouth. "As I was saying, this blog, it features this two celebrities em, love life, and it's hilarious." He continued talking, but this time his hand that was covering Carrie's mouth went to her hand and interlaced them. "The things they were saying were so interesting I had to see pictures, just some proof that it is true the things they stated."
"And?" Carrie was getting impatient, she felt like she knows what he might be talking about for Mike is not one to go around the internet reading blogs especially about celebrities.
"And well, I actually couldn't tell if it's true or not. There were not many pictures and most of the links on the site aren't working anymore. But," Mike paused and then grinned seeing the frustration in his wife's face. "You know what, never mind. Let's just eat, I've already ordered dinner." He said then patted Carrie on the leg and stood up.
"Oh come on, would you just spill it?!" Carrie followed her husband to the kitchen.
"Oh wait I forgot something in my office." Mike didn't, he just knows Carrie would still be following him. He sat on his chair, opened the drawer and smiled to himself that Google is still on and a picture of Carrie and her ex-boyfriend is still up, and the fact that he was right, Carrie did follow him and was now very close to his desk. "I told you to wait." He laughed.
