One of Carrie's favorite things about being home is being able to go to grocery stores where she can spend hours and hours walking around and shopping for food to fill their home.
It was nine o'clock in the morning and she was about to fall in line at the cashier to pay when something caught her eye. Pushing the grocery cart slightly out of her way, she walked over to the magazine stand.
Normally, she doesn't read articles about her or her family whether it was on the internet or some gossip magazine, though this time it was getting ridiculous.
Lately, she's been seeing more magazines with her and her husband's face on the cover, sometimes it aggravates her, other times she just laughs it off.
She picked up a magazine from Star, threw it in the shopping cart before she headed over to the cashier and paid.
Mike was getting as much sleep as he could. He was tired from a game the night before and his body still feels sore from all the bruises he got. Thankfully, his parents offered to watch over Isaiah while they're still in town so the married couple had the house to themselves, for the day at least.
Carrie entered their home careful to be quiet so she wouldn't wake her husband. She planned on making him breakfast in bed knowing he would still be tired even after a good night sleep.
Mike didn't fight the urge to wake up when he heard footsteps coming closer. He knew it would be his wife and nothing is better than waking up and seeing her face first thing.
"Good morning." Carrie smiled at him holding a tray in both of her hands. "Did you sleep good?" She placed the tray on the bed while Mike sat up, nodding his head and leaning up for a kiss. "Have you brushed your teeth?" She teased.
Mike pouted and frowned, shaking his head no, and slumped back down on the bed with his arms crossed.
"You're such a baby." Carrie rolled her eyes and sat in front of him, leaning forward to five him a peck on the lips.
Mike chuckled. "Thank you for this." He mumbled as his wife started feeding him. "How was the grocery shopping? Did anyone bother you?"
Carrie chuckled. "Oh it went fine and apparently, we haven't seen each other in ten months and we're about to file for divorce."
Mike shook his head and laughed. "Don't worry, I'm never going to divorce you." He drank the orange juice Carrie just handed him. "I love you too much."
Carrie rolled her eyes.
"Plus you're so good in bed." Mike winced when Carrie hit a bruised spot in his arm. "That hurt." He pouted.
"Well that's what you get when you make dirty comments during breakfast." Carrie replied then placed another spoonful in front of his face which Mike swallowed quickly."I love you." Mike said sweetly.
Despite rolling her eyes again, she answered. "I love you too." She chuckled. "Now eat up."
