RECALL (Completed)

I needed you

"Right behind you" we heard Leshia's voice.

"Oh no"

"Who do you think your are?" Leshia was invisible but still we could hear her say.

"Leave her you coward" Kate tried to shout.

"Shut up you old cow, no one can save her and you? You are going to die" as soon as Leshia said this the corner on which Kate supported her body started cracking.

We were still looking at the wall of that corner and suddenly two hands, which were totally skin ridden caught Kate's neck.

"Kate" both Ethan and I shouted.

Ethan caught her legs and I tried to get a hold on those hands.
She was dying in front of me. I couldn't let this happen. Her breathing hitched, and she started shaking vigorously.

She tried to get off of my hands and Ethan's hands.

"Go" her voice was a mere whisper.

"I won't" tears flooded in my eyes.

All of a sudden the wall broke and the hands dragged Kate.
I didn't notice but there were railway lines laid behind Kate's house.

The hands dragged her till she was lying on one of the railway line. We were also following her, years were brimming from my eyes. I can't believe that this was happening.

It was very disastrous to see her in such a vulnerable state. All of her clothes were tearing apart, because of the dragging. All of the remnants directed us towards her.
She was lying there helpless. Coughing, shaking her head, getting a hold on her breathe.

We thought that we finally got her. She'll not leave us. We were quiet distant from her. We were jogging towards her but we heard the whistle of a train.
We looked towards our right and saw a train coming towards Kate.

We ran as fast as we could but.........we were late. The train went over her body.

"Noooo" I cried.

I cried loudly, as loud as I could. We were just seconds away from her, just 3 steps.

I lost all hope, I lost her. I fell on my knees and started crying louder.

"Why Kate why? God why?" I cried closing my eyes.

Ethan knelt beside me and tried to ease me but all was in vein.

The train went away, leaving both of us hopeless.

"Kate" Ethan whispered.

"She's gone Ethan" I sobbed.

"No, she ain't" Ethan said and pointed towards the railway line.

I looked in that direction and saw Kate. Smiling at us.

I can't believe this, maybe by the way she was lying on the line, it saved her.
I was so happy, it was like the best moment of my life. Little did I knew that this was going to be the worst moment of my life.

A smile formed on my face and I started walking, actually running towards her.
Ethan joined me and soon we both reached at the spot at which she was lying.

"Kate" I mumbled and hugged her.

She hugged me back.

"Time to go home" Ethan said.

"Yes" I took her hand and stood up. It was kinda difficult for her to stand, because of the wounds caused by dragging.

"I thought that this was going to be my last day-" as soon as she spoke again those two hands grabbed her waist.
My eyes widened, she was crying. In front of me, Ethan and I again pulled her but all our efforts were effect less.

"Jesus help us" I cried and pulled her with all my strength.

Out of nowhere fire started burning, just beneath Kate. The hands were harmless by that but Kate effected, that too dangerously.
The hands dragged her inside and she was burning, in front of me.

I was just standing there, motionless. I tried my best, but everything was waste.

All her skin dissolved, she was totally inside that fire and only her head was visible.
She smiled at me and said "brave girl"

Her meat, skin, all dissolved in front of me until her skull was visible and then?
She was gone, that fire hole was gone.

And I was again left completely devastated.
