[ Chapter T H R E E]

"Ughhhh!! I hate Andrea Carter!!"

I looked up and saw my best friend, Ezzah Karim marching towards our lunch table.

"What'd she do now?" I asked her, slightly amused.

"You want to know what she did? Well, let me tell you. She showed up in class that's what she did. After almost a month's absence she just had to come back, didn't she? She couldn't have just died wherever she had gone!" She exclaimed. Her arms going all over the place.

I laugh out loud. Ezzah had always hated Andrea. And she had a good reason to do so as well. Ever since Ezzah moved here, Andrea had been nothing but a bully to my best friend.

You see, Ezzah was a beautiful girl with a tan skin tone and dark brown eyes and she had beautiful long dark brown, almost black, hair. They were so beautiful that even I was jealous. But she chose to dress modestly, covering up her skin as best she could. She chose to not eat meat which wasn't Halal. She chose to not to go parties and get waisted (although she did enjoy going to parties to get Axl and me waisted)

And that was reason Andrea used to bully her.

Well, at least when she first started wearing her headscarf about a year ago. Now she didn't say anything about it, she didn't want to come off as racist, even if she was. But that didn't mean that she still didn't make crude and inappropriate remarks.

"Hey Ezzah, you should just do to her what you do best; ignore her," I advise, rubbing her back with my hand.

To be honest, I kind of found the whole Andrea-Ezzah being nemeses thing kind of funny. Not because I liked the fact that she was bullied but because whenever Andrea attacked Ezzah, she would always come up with an amazing comeback and put that bitch right back in her place.

You see Ezzah, like me, had grown up with brothers and that made her strong. Not just mentally but also physically. She was one of our high school's best female athletes. And she was also the best friend I could ever have asked for.

"I try, Sam. Trust me I try! But she's just so nerve racking! I just.... it just... UGHHHH!"

I laughed at her frustration.

"Hey! Did you know that An-" Axl appeared from behind us and said, but then she saw Ezzah's face, "So I see that you know?" He asked her.

"Fuck, yeah I know!" She shouted at my other best friend, Axl.

He put his arms up in fake surrender and shook his head in amusement. He too enjoyed the war between the two.

Axl McCalvin was another one of my friends. I'd known him for about as long as I'd known Ezzah, which was five years. I actually only met him thanks to Ezzy, they've known each other for a while and now I was added to the equation.

Axl was a tall boy but he wasn't 'huge' as they call them.

I didn't mean it like that, idiot.

Get your head out of the gutter.

He was relativement thin, but don't let that fool you. Even though he wasn't extremely muscular with huge arms and broad shoulders he still had a six-pack going on down there. And good muscular arms. He had naturally dark blond hair that he had died grey, and boy, was he pulling off that look, and honey coloured eyes. His skin was pale as well, but not enough to look sick or like a vampire. He was, if I do say so myself, kinda hot. But nothing compared to Dylan O'Brien.
