Part 5- Hana

Hana

I can feel the hatred coming from Lena. It isn't wrong, she has a right to hate me, but it is still shocking to see it. 

I try to stay close to them and keep my head down. If someone recognizes me I'm not sure what will happen. It doesn't help that I'm wearing a wedding dress, it only makes people stare more. 

After about 5 minutes of pushing past people we come to a concealed path of to the side of a clearing. There's still people here, but less than before. Eventually we come to a clearing with trailers scattered all around. It's amazing; a community. 

Alex leads us to one of the trailers closer to the back. As he opens he door I can see inside a little. You can tell no one has been here in a while, there's a layer of dust covering everything. Alex holds the door open as Lena and Grace walk in and I start to follow after them. As she is walking into the trailer, Gracie slips on something; an old soda can, it looks like there was a candle in it. I immediately bend down to help her up as Lena does the same. Lena glares at me as she helps Grace up. 

"Stay away from her," she hisses to me. Obviously she wasn't quiet enough as Gracie speaks up next.

"Why?" She asks Lena. "Hana helped me! She gave me food when I didn't have any!"

"Did you really?" Lena asks, the question directed at me. 

"Yes," I say. "I felt so guilty for what I had done. For what I had done to you and Alex. I knew I had to help in some way, this was all I could think of. That was when I knew the cure hadn't worked on me, not entirely. I still felt guilt for all I had done to you. I loved you and I had hurt you. So if you want me to leave, I will, but please just know that I loved you once and I still do. You're still my best friend. I will never forgive myself for what I have done to you." My voice breaks as I say the last part. I feel like in going to burst into tears, but I can't I have to stay strong.
