"What?"
Scott looked extremely upset with me while Derek looked rather surprised.
"I don't have an anchor like you do, Scott. I don't have an Allison. That's why I need Derek." I tore my eyes away from Scott and connected them with an eager looking Derek, "Derek, I need your help."
Derek slowly walked over to me and took my hand in his, interlacing our fingers, "Let's go."
"I'm sorry, Scott, it'll be okay." I whispered in his ear before following Derek up the stairs and out of the basement.
Was this really my best idea?

My brother's Jeep came to a stop in front of the Sheriff's station; him, myself, and Derek inside. He turned off the car, pulled the keys out of the ignition, and then turned to face Derek.
"The keys to every cell are in a password protected lock-box in my father's office." Stiles started.
I gestured to one of our dad's coworkers that we could see through the window, "The problem is getting passed the front desk."
"I'll distract her." Derek blurted as he bang to get out of the car.
Stiles grabbed Derek's shoulder, "Woah, woah, you? You're not going in there."
Derek looked at Stiles hand, that was still on his shoulder, then back up at Stiles.
"I'm taking my hand off." Stiles said as he pulled his hand back to his side.
"I was exonerated." Derek widened his eyes.
I sighed, "Stiles does have a point, you're still a person of interest."
"An innocent person."
Stiles laughed, "You? Yeah, right!"
Derek gave Stiles a look.
"Okay, what's your plan?" Stiles groaned.
"To distract her." Derek said as if it were obvious.
I furrowed my eyebrows, "Huh? How?"
"By punching her in the face?" Stiles added.
Derek fake laughed, "By talking to her."
"Okay, um, give me a sample. What are you gonna open with?" my brother demanded.
Derek just stared at Stiles, you could tell he was getting annoyed.
Stiles pursed his lips and nodded, "Dead silence. Got any other ideas?"
"Thinking about punching you in the face."
Stiles looked extremely offended and all I could do was try to stifle my laugh.
•
"So, do we just wait here? How will we know when to go?" I whispered to my brother.
We were currently crouched right outside of the doors the the Police Department. Derek had just walked in to 'distract' the lady at the front desk. Let's just hope it goes well.
Stiles pulled me up to a standing position with him. We stared around the door right as the lady made eye contact with Derek, she looked completely smitten.
Stiles rolled his eyes and began sneaking back towards Dad's office. I quickly and quietly caught up with him. I saw the little act was putting on and couldn't help but feel smitten myself.
"Ugh, I don't blame her." I whispered.
Stiles slapped his hand over my mouth and shushed me. We walked into Dad's office and Stiles made a beeline for the lock box. He quickly put in the code and opened the box.
"The keys are gone." I breathed out.
"Oh no." Stiles said before running off.
I followed him out of the office. The "Sheriff" Allison had been talking about must have gotten the keys first. Her dad had sent a fake sheriff here to give a wolfsbane shot to Isaac.
Wolfsbane was lethal to werewolves. They were trying to kill Isaac.
"Where is this guy?" I whispered.
Stiles and I rounded the corner and almost ran into a coworker of my dad's.
"Uh, I was just looking, uh." Stiles mumbled.
I looked down at the guy's leg, there was half an arrow in it. Allison had told us that she shot him. I quickly notified Stiles. The "Sheriff" also realized what we knew.
The man grabbed Stiles before the two of us could run away. I bit my lip as I watched him take my brother, but I had to go get Derek. As I was going to get Derek, the fire alarm in the building went off.
Good job, Stiles.
"Derek!" I yelled, at this point I really didn't care if people saw me.
He broke his conversation with the lady at the front desk and ran over to me. Just by my facial expression, he knew why was going on. As we were running through the station, I heard a low growl.
Isaac had shifted.
Derek and I entered the room right as Isaac shoved the unconscious, fake sheriff against the wall. Derek then smashed the wolfsbane shot underneath his foot. As soon as Isaac made eye contact with Derek and I, his gaze shifted to someone else.
I followed his gaze only to see my brother. I gasped loudly, he was going to kill Stiles.
Derek must have seen his gaze and sensed my panic, because he let out a loud roar. The roar of an alpha. Almost immediately, Isaac recoiled to the ground, hiding himself from Derek.
We watched Isaac in anticipation, did Derek scare him enough to make him turn back?
Seconds passed and Isaac turned back toward us. Human Isaac. So it did work.
I ran over to Stiles and tried my best to make sure he was okay.
"H-How did you do that?" Stiles asked breathlessly.
Derek turned around and his eyes met Stiles. There was almost a glimmer in his eyes.
"I'm the Alpha."
