"Training them, huh?"

Derek nodded, "They need to learn."

"And you need me to help, don't you?" I raised my eyebrows, a smug look on my face.

He wouldn't look me in the eye, "Maybe I do."

"Derek, I won't help until you look me in the eyes and tell me you need my help."

Derek reluctantly looked at me, staring into my eyes, "Will you help me train them?"

"Sure will!" I laughed and linked arms with the twenty something year old.

He groaned as I pulled us toward the area where the others were waiting. I think sometimes Derek forgets he's dealing with 4 sixteen year olds.

"Alright, you little shits. It's training time." I called out as Derek and I reached what we had deemed the "training room".

The three were stretching in the middle of the floor. I looked around at what they were wearing. They all were wearing normal clothes.

"No work out clothes? Suit yourselves." I shrugged as I walked around in my workout pants and sports bra.

Derek rolled his eyes at me before turning his attention to the three, "First, you will try attacking me, taking me all the way to the ground. If you can do that, you've passed your first test."

"I'll go first." Isaac stood up from his spot on the ground.

I let out a laugh. This boy was way too confident in himself.

Isaac walked across the room and then started his approach. He flipped over some boxes and then jumped over some tables, before reaching Derek he jumped up on a pillar before lunging at Derek. Derek used one of his arms and shoved Isaac to the ground.

The cocky teenager pulled himself off the floor, in a little bit of pain, and made his way back over to the starting point. He began his attack on Derek again. Isaac did the same approach every time and it failed... every time. I sat with Boyd on the stairs and we watched as Isaac got shoved to the ground for a fifth time.

All of a sudden, Erica jumped from up above, only to get shoved right down next to Isaac. Her whimpers are what made Boyd and I stop laughing.

Derek rolled his eyes, "Does anyone want to try to not be completely predictable?"

As soon as the words left his mouth, Erica jumped up on him and began practically making out with Derek. Boyd and I stood up and walked down the stairs.

"Gross." I breathed out as Derek shoved Erica right back to where she had just been on the ground.

Derek wiped his lips off, "That's the last time you do that."

"Why? Cause I'm a Beta?" Erica asked, annoyance in her voice.

"No, it's because I have someone else in mind for you."

Erica looked confused and rather worried.

"Are we done?" Isaac asked as he sat up, "Cause I've got a hundred bones that need a few hours to heal."

Derek walked over and knelt beside Isaac, holding his hand out. I could see where this was gonna go. Isaac held his arm out for Derek, but Derek in turn grabbed it and twisted it. He snapped Isaac's arm and you could hear it. I'll never get used to that noise.

"101. Do you think I'm teaching you how to fight? Huh?" Derek raised his voice, "Look at me! I'm teaching you how to survive."

Derek had a grip on Isaac's broken arm as well as his hair. I had had enough of Derek's violence for the night.

"Derek. Let go of him. Now." I growled.

Derek looked up at me and I narrowed my eyes at him. He stared at me for a couple seconds more before forcefully letting go of Isaac, getting up and walking away.

"If they wanted us dead, why aren't they coming for us now?" Isaac asked as I knelt down beside him.

He had a protective hand around his broken arm. I pulled him closed to my body, carefully rubbing the broken arm in hopes of easing the pain.

"What are they waiting for?" Isaac continued.

Derek let out a breath, "I don't know. But they're planning something. And you especially, know that's not our only problem."

Derek walked closer to us and I could hear Isaac's heartbeat begin to rise. He was scared of Derek and what he'd do.

"Whatever that thing is that killed Isaac's father, I think it killed someone else last night."

I inhaled sharply. The mechanic. It killed the mechanic and almost killed Stiles.

"Until I find out what it is, you all need to learn everything that I know. As fast as I can teach you." Derek added to his little speech and then began to leave.

I carefully pushed Isaac off of my lap and ran over to Derek, grabbing his bicep to stop him.

"What?" Derek spat.

I sighed, "We both know that's impossible. You haven't even taught me everything you know and your mom bit me back when I was 7. I mean, you did go m.i.a. for six years. She knew how much I wanted to be like Cora so she bit me. It was pretty much the best thing ever. Cora and I were finally alike and it was all thanks to your mo-"

Derek grabbed my wrist, sinking his claws into my skin. The act caused a whimper to force its way out of my mouth.

"Don't talk about my mom or Cora ever again. You hear me?"

He let go and stormed away. I immediately gripped my bleeding wrist, holding it close to my body. Holy hell this hurts.

"Collins! Are you okay?" Isaac asked as he stumbled over to me.

I nodded, "Y-Yeah, I'm fine."

I put my uninjured arm around Isaac and helped him to his room. It was pretty much time for bed anyways. We walked in silence through the warehouse, that was, until I decided to speak up.

"I'm gonna go to school tomorrow."

Tomorrow was Monday. I figured it was a new school week, I might as well go. Added bonus, my friends can stop blowing up my text messaging wondering where I am.

He raised his eyebrows, "You are?"

"It's about time." I nodded.

He gave me a soft smile.

"Good for you, Collins."
