"What the hell is this?"

I stifled my laugh at my dad's reaction to his food. Currently Stiles, my dad, and I were all eating at the Police station.

"Veggie burger." Stiles replied.

Dad groaned, "I asked for a hamburger."

"Well, veggie is healthier. We're being healthy." I smiled as Stiles and I held up our salads.

Dad took the rubber band off of a container to reveal carrots and celery sticks, "Why are you two trying to ruin my life?"

"We're trying to extend your life. Okay?" Stiles spoke.

I rolled my eyes, "Could just eat it, please?"

"And tell us what you found." my brother added.

Dad put his hands down on his desk, "No, I'm not telling you two confidential police work with teenagers."

I looked up to see a board full of fingerprints and pictures and maps behind dad.

"Is that it on the board behind you?" I asked after taking a sip of my drink.

Dad turned around and looked at it as Stiles and I sat up, trying to get a better look.

"Don't look at it." he said.

Stiles adjusted his position, "Hey."

"Avert your eyes." Dad commanded, "Hey, Avert-"

"I see arrows." Stiles started.

I nodded, "They're pointing to pictures."

"Okay. Stop. Fine. I found something. I don't need you two ganging up on me."

Yes! Dad gave in.

"Tell us." I smiled as I leaned my elbows on his desk.

Dad gestured with his hands, "The mechanic. The couple. They all had something in common."

"All three?" Stiles asked.

Dad nodded, "Yeah. And what I always say. One's an incident."

"Two's a coincidence." I breathed out.

Stiles nodded, "Three's a pattern."

"The mechanic. The husband. The wife." Dad counted with his fingers, "All the same age. All 24."

"What about Mr. Lahey?" Stiles asked.

I interjected, "Isaac's dad isn't anywhere near 24."

"Yeah, you would know." Stiles mumbled.

I elbowed his side, "Shut up."

"Which made me think that either A: Lahey's murder wasn't connected or B: the age is no coincidence. " Dad stood up from his chair and grabbed a file, handing it to us, "Until I found this. Did you know, that Isaac Lahey had an older brother named Camden?"
