"You heard that too, right?"

Scott jumped, "What the hell? Why are you just chilling in Gerard's office?"

"I was bored and Erica is my ride. I kind of lost her a while ago. So I decided to just chill here until she answers her phone. But I'm starting to think that noise has something to do with where Erica would be." I shrugged.

He rolled his eyes, "Well let's go find her then."

Scott and I had both transformed. The lizard thing was here and we were going to take him down. We had tracked it all the way to the pool area of the school. Once we reached it though, we saw Derek and Stiles slip under the water.

Scott grabbed Stiles and I grabbed Derek, we yanked them out of the water and threw them back on the deck. We both let out our growl's letting the lizard thing know we were there.

All of a sudden, it jumped and grabbed onto Scott. It wrapped its tail around Scott's ankle and threw him, shattering a mirror. I stayed back at the ready, just in case.

I watched as Scott picked up a shard of the mirror to protect himself as the creature slowly made its way toward him. Once the creature saw its reflection, it scampered away into the night.

Is it scared of its own reflection?

I looked up and both Stiles and Derek were staring at Scott and I as we shifted back. They were just as confused as we were.

"Wait, Collins, is that you?" Stiles called out.

I nodded before running over to where Erica was, making sure she was okay. Scott pulled Stiles out of the pool area, leaving Derek with us.

"Are you two okay?" He asked, making his way over to us.

Erica nodded as she sat up.

"The real question is, are you okay?" I asked, looking at him.

He nodded and the three of us got up, following Scott and Stiles out of the school building.

By the time we reached the parking lot Scott and Stiles were searching through the bestiary.

"Is that even a language?" Stiles asked, getting annoyed.

Scott shook his head, "How are we supposed to figure out what this thing is?"

"It's called a Kanima." Derek spoke, making our presence known.

Stiles and Scott straightened up.

"You knew the whole time?" Stiles asked.

Derek shook his head, "No, only when it was confused by its own reflection."

"It doesn't know what it is." Scott breathed out.

"Or who." I added.

Stiles kept his eyes locked on Derek's, "Well, what else do you know?"

"Just stories. Rumors."

"But it's like us?" Scott questioned.

Derek shrugged, "Its a shapeshifter, yes, but it's.. it's not right. It's like a-"

"Abomination." Stiles breathed out.

Derek and I just nodded.

Erica, Derek, and I turned to leave, but stopped when Scott spoke up.

"Derek! We need to work together on this. Maybe even tell the Argents."

I could sense the fury rage inside of Derek, "You trust them?"

I grabbed onto Derek's arm, just like I used to with Scott. A method of calming them down. It began to work, just like it always does with Scott.

"No one trusts anyone. That's the problem. While we're here, arguing who's on what side there's something scarier, stronger, and faster than any of us and it's killing people!" Scott yelled, "And we still don't know anything about it."

"I know one thing, when I find it..." Derek turned around and started walking away, "I'm gonna kill it."

Erica and I turned and walked with Derek. We needed to get back to the warehouse.

"Collins! Stop!" Stiles called out.

I froze in my steps and Derek and Erica did to, but a couple feet in front of me.

"Please, come home. Dad and I... we miss you."

I could feel my heart beat barely rise. He was pulling at my heart strings. Never once had he said he missed me.

Derek looked back at me and all I could give him was this distraught look. I'm so conflicted on what to do.

"Go home, Collins. At least for a couple days, you can come back later." Derek ordered.

I nodded before turning around, facing my brother and his best friend. I could see the hope spring up in his eyes.

"Let's go."

Stiles frantically ran toward his Jeep, saying random things about how happy he was that I was coming home.

"Dad! We're home!" Stiles called out.

I could hear dad put down his cup on his desk, "We?"

I stopped in the doorway of his office, "Hi, Dad."

"Collins." he whispered.

I softly smiled, "That's me."

He frantically got up out of his chair and ran over to me, enveloping me in a big hug. We stayed like that for at least 5 minutes. When he let go, he held onto my arms and examined me.

"Any cuts, bruises, breaks?" he asked.

I let out a small laugh, "No, Dad. I'm completely fine."

"Okay, just checking. You do know you're also grounded until you're 30, right?" he stared at me.

"Yes, sir. I know."
