"I said I was sorry!"

I ran my fingers through my hair as I continued to pace the room. Thoughts from what happened at school today were flooding my brain.

"Colli, I didn't mean to tell them."

I stopped pacing and stared at Isaac who was sitting at the edge of his bed, "Well you still did. Now Stiles is probably gonna tell our dad and he's gonna try to kill Derek. I can't lose Derek."

"Do you really love him?" he asked, looking a little sad.

I sighed and shook my head, "Not in the way you think. Derek just knows me. I had this secret friendship with his sister, Cora, before the fire. We were best friends and whenever I could sneak away I was with her. Their mom always made Derek watch Cora and I, so I grew up with him. Derek was part of my life that my family knows nothing about. They're how I became a werewolf. Derek and I love each other on an entirely different level. I'm all he has left of his childhood."

"What about me?"

I furrowed my eyebrows, "What?"

"How do you love me?" he questioned, looking up at me.

I walked over and placed my hands softly on his shoulders, "Like Derek, I love you on an entirely different level. You, Isaac Lahey, are different. You make me feel safe. Safety has been such a foreign concept to me. I was bit by Derek's mom when I was 7, I asked her to, but since then not a day has gone by where I felt safe. But since you came into my life, I can feel it returning. I feel safe again. It's the best feeling ever."

"Really?" he whispered.

I nodded as I straddled his lap, hanging my arms around his shoulders, "Really. You make me feel amazing, Isaac. I don't know what I'd do without you."

Once again, our faces were only centimeters apart. I could feel his warm breath on my lips as I leaned in closer. My eyes fluttered closed and I assume his did too. His lips were brushing against mine. The second I went to close the gap, screams broke me away.

"Derek!"

"Where the hell is Derek!?"

I scrambled to my feet, running out of Isaac's room. When I entered the main floor of the warehouse I saw Scott and Stiles, but Scott was holding an almost unconscious Erica.

"What happened?" I asked, a little stunned.

Stiles scoffed, "Of course you're here. Were you with Derek again?"

I rolled my eyes at him.

"Jackson cut her neck and she seized. We need Derek." Scott informed me.

I quietly thanked him, "He's downstairs. Where I wasn't."

"Hold her up!" Derek yelled as they laid Erica on the ground.

Stiles crawled over and held up Erica's torso for Derek, glaring at him the entire time.

"Is she dying?" I asked, actually quite nervous.

Derek looked nervous, "She... she might."

He pulled up her sleeve and gripped onto her arm.

"This is gonna hurt." he said before breaking her arm causing her to let out a scream.

Stiles freaked out, "A broken arm?"

Erica continued to cry out in pain as Derek frantically tried to help her.

"It'll trigger the healing process." he blurted, "I still gotta get the venom out."

He sunk his claws into her arm, making her bleed. This action just caused more cries to escape Erica's mouth. I felt so bad for her.

Stiles fell back onto his butt as Erica's cries simmered down. He brushed the hair out of her face and she barely grabbed one of his sleeves.

"Stiles... you make a good Batman."

I watched as Derek and Scott exited the train car that we were currently sitting in. They had said they needed to talk alone. This just so happened to leave me alone with my brother and Erica who was half asleep.

"So when did you plan on telling me about you and Derek?" he asked as soon as we were at least semi alone.

I sighed before staring down at the ground, "I didn't. I actually didn't think this thing would last this long, but it has."

"You have to stop this, Collins. You being with Derek is hazardous. It's going to get you killed." I could hear the seriousness in his voice.

I let out a shaky breath before looking back up at him, "I can't end it. Not yet."

"Why were Scott and Stiles glaring at me the entire time? Especially Stiles, he was hardcore giving me a death glare." Derek asked as we left Erica's room.

I had followed Derek to put Erica in her bed for the night. There was something in me that wanted me to make sure she was okay, even if I really didn't like her.

I let out a nervous laugh, "Well, they kind of found out... about us."

He stopped mid tracks and turned around, looking down at me.

"What do you mean 'about us'? What did they find out?" he looked sort of nervous.

I ran my fingers through my long brown hair, "Our relationship, whatever you wanna call it, and what we... do, well, what we did."

"How... How the hell did they find out about that? You didn't tell them, did you? If your dad found out about this, damn, I'd for sure be dead and-"

I cut him off my grabbing his bicep once again, I could tell he was getting worked up, "Stiles was questioning me and Isaac at school today and it some how slipped out. Only in front of a few people though."

"Stiles will tell your dad-"

"Stop worrying about Stiles," I cut Derek off once again, "I'll make sure that my dad never finds out, okay? No need to worry."

Derek nodded before I pulled him into a hug. He was tense at first, but relaxed after a couple of seconds as he wrapped his arms around my torso. The hug didn't last long before Derek stepped away.

He started toward his bedroom before looking back at me, "You coming?"

"Not tonight, Derek. I think I'm gonna go check on the Betas before heading off to bed."
