As I reach the dorms, Tobias makes an announcement to all the former-initiates. "Don't forget that you will be choosing your jobs in two days. Chose wisely." I haven't given my choice that much thought yet.

I lay in bed and think about what I will choose. I get first pick so I can do whatever I want for the rest of my life.

I definitively want to be near Tobias. If I take a job as a trainer with him, I will only work for a few months per year. I think I will choose a trainer and a tattoo artist with Tori. That sounds like a lot of fun, even though I must put in a lot of effort into learning how to place marks on people's skin permanently. What if I mess up?

I begin to think that maybe a job at the tattoo parlor may not be right for me. I don't want anything else really though, so I am deciding between that or a d
Dauntless leader. That's a lot of pressure though. I'm not sure I am cut out for that either, but it's better than all my other choices.

I push those thoughts into the back of my mind and drift off to sleep.

I am Zeke's apartment playing Truth or Dare and all I have left on is my underwear. Everyone else is wearing all their clothes. I am embarrassed and turn a deep shade of red. Then, Uriah asks me to play 7 minutes of heaven with Will and I decline. I know what happens next...

I wake up, sweating. I have been having really bad dreams lately. I grab some food and sit at a table alone with Tobias. We talk and start to eat. I am having a blueberry muffin and Tobias is, of course, having nothing other than Dauntless cake.

"So," he says to me. "What are you going to pick as your job?"

"I am definitely going to do a trainer with you," I say firmly.

"What are you going to do for the rest of the year?" he asks.

"I was thinking either a Dauntless leader or a tattoo artist. What do you think?" I ask his opinion.

"You can choose whatever you like, but I think you would be happier as a tattoo artist. Even if you mess up, it's fine."

"Good point," I add. He is right. I think I will choose a tattoo artist.

"Listen," he says. "I wanted to know if you wanted to share an apartment with me." He says, looking down.

"Of course!" I yell and he looks up at me and I can see him relieved.

"Good," he says. "I want you to always be by my side." He smiles. He is good to me.

"I love you," I say, and he says the exact same thing.

We pull in for a kiss, but are interrupted by none other than the piece of worthless meat with piercings himself.

"So, I heard you two are now dating."
