dumb feelings

jimin's point of view

while waiting for jungkook and taehyung to come back, we were deciding on what to do for tomorrow's free time after our schedules other than sleeping. "hold on, i'll go and wake yoongi up." i got up from my seat until hoseok held me back by holding my wrist. "jimin, that'll be no use. even if we decide on something for tomorrow, he'll just sleep." he said.

"GUYS!" i'm pretty sure the others thought that they were dreaming too, just like me, as we heard yoongi's voice from the stairs. the sleeping prince woke up? like as in getting his ass off from his bed? whaaaat?

we turned our heads and we saw yoongi rushing down with his phone on his hands. "oho, can't believe you're awake." jin hyung ran to the living room with a spatula in his hand just to see yoongi awake. "i don't know why you're all talking about me while everybody else are talking about taehyung and jungkook." yoongi showed us his phone and an article from the internet, mentioning an accident regarding about g-four's park hye rin and her so-called 'life savers', jeon jungkook and kim taehyung.

a picture showed kookie carrying g-four's maknae in bridal style and taehyung holding the maknae's hand. "after the dating scandal, we have another news among two big fandoms." hoseok scratched his nape. "i knew there was something going on.. ah that jungkook just left without even saying a single thing about it." namjoon took his phone out and called taehyung but there was no answer at all. "weren't they high school classmates? maybe a fight was going on when they went for their class reunion and g-four's hye rin happened to get hurt." i guessed. "maybe but do you think they got hurt along with hye rin? i'm worried about those kids. sheesh." jin hyung walked in circles which made me dizzy but i didn't complain at all since my mind was occupied.

"same here. v and kook aren't answering their phones. should we go to the hospital they're at?" namjoon hyung commented. "but which hospital exactly?" i asked. "i know where it is. i figured it out from their fans' comments on the article." yoongi said monotonously. "then let's go!" hoseok exclaimed as he grabbed his stuffs.

we called our manager and he came along with our van. we hopped in and told him the hospital address. on the ride, everyone, including me, was quiet while hoseok tried breaking the silence but failed.

when we arrived, we ran as fast as we could to the information counter and asked where hye rin's room was at. after getting the room number, we sprinted to the elevator and pressed our destined level. as we reached the right level, we got off and tried finding the room based on the signs. "oh?" i muttered. "KIM TAEHYUNG! JEON JUNGKOOK!" i shouted and they turned around simultaneously. as i shouted their names, other patients and guardians turned their heads around too.

"omo.. IT'S BTS!" as soon as our group name was mentioned, people started crowding us. we dashed into hye rin's room while her guards tried stopping the fans from entering. "hyungdeul, what're y'all doing here?" jungkook asked. "pft, what else? we came here because of you both! we were worried sick." jin hyung voiced out as if he was scolding them. "anyway, are you two alright?" namjoon asked in concern while the two of them nodded. "what happened to hye rin?" i questioned, thinking that they probably got asked for the thousandth time.

"it's because of a gi--" jungkook sighed. "it's all because of me." he groaned. "yah, just because someone likes you and did something bad doesn't mean you're the one at fault." taehyung replied to jungkook's answer. "mwo? hye rin likes kookie?" i commented. "no. it's someone else. it's just.. personal issues that the four of us know." jungkook said. "perhaps, is it this girl?" yoongi showed his phone to us once again.

his phone showed a picture of a girl in beige coat, talking in front of hye rin and as yoongi scrolled, there was another picture whereby the girl was grabbing hye rin's hair.

"yeah." jungkook simply said.
"taehyung-ah.." i heard a girl's voice from the back, completely forgetting that this was hye rin's room. "hye rin-ah! are you alright now?" taehyung rushed to her with a hug.

i tugged namjoon's shirt, signaling him that we should leave them some space. namjoon hyung notified the rest but jungkook seemed to hesitate on leaving but he eventually left. he frowned. as we left the room, some fans were still gathered in front of hye rin's room. we took the time to converse with them as we had nothing else to do.

taehyung's point of view

i dashed to hye rin as soon as she called out my name. i hugged her as if i was about to lose her. "hye rin-ah! are you alright now?" i asked. "paboya.. why're you always making me feel worried?" i released her from the hug and saw her crying. "i'm sorry. i'm sorry for being so stupid to the extent that i made you worried.. but you know what, i guess being stupid doesn't feel bad at all. i even got a hug from you." she laughed as tears rolled down her cheeks. "mwoya? are you still hurt or are you already getting better now?" i ruffled and messed her hair like what i used to do back then.

we talked and talked nonstop as if time stopped just for us to converse at this very moment. i got to see her smile, laugh and cry. i got to see the hye rin i used to know.

"oh yeah.. uhm, about the dating thing.." "you don't have to talk about that. i heard everything from my ceo. he said that he discussed it with your ceo recently and confirmed it. pabo. how did you even forget that we haven't broken up yet?" i pouted and narrowed my eyes, trying to look mad and adorable at the same time.

"hold on.. so does that mean that we're still in a relationship up until now?" she asked. "hmm, well i told my ceo that we're dating and you did the same thing too. clearn enough?" i replied. she rolled her eyes and covered my face, stopping me from acting cute. "yaaaah, don't cover me. you should admire the fact that you have an adorable boyfriend." i said. she chuckled, bursting into a laugh.

jungkook's point of view

i heard the both of them laughing from the room. i wanted to barge in but i felt like i didn't have the right to do so. i didn't have the guts to face her because she might still think that i'm the same jerk i used to be from five years ago.

"hye rin-ah.." i said her name. "yeah?" she replied. "w-will you be my girlfriend?" she said lift up her head and faced me, seemingly surprised. "what? kook-ah, what kind of prank are you trying to pull this time?" and just like that, she dismissed the topic. "i'm serious hye rin." i stated solidly. she blinked as if her mind went blank. "k-kook-ah.."

she seemed like she was going to reject me but i couldn't let that happen for some reason. i just wanted her to be my girlfriend and to be her boyfriend. i wanted to be the only one who treated her well and to protect her from guys like taehyung who acts as if hye rin's an invisible person when he loses his temper.

without letting her say no, i rushed to her and kissed her. hye rin pushed me back, probably scared of me now. i'm sorry hye rin-ah..

i fixed my posture as jin hyung called me. taehyung came out of the room, letting hye rin rest. we headed back to the dorm and gathered for a group discussion of deciding what to do tomorrow. v hyung participated actively unlike the day before when he was so down. no one noticed my silence except for jin hyung but he didn't ask me why i was like this as he might've thought that i was just tired from what has happened earlier today. my mind was on repeat mode about my memories with hye rin. the good, the sad.. and the bad ones.
