I don't have the best pictures of her, but here she is. My sister, when she was about 3 years old, adopted a tiny calico kitten whom she named Rainbow. My sister is 20 or 21 now. Rainbow is 17 or 18, but she's still going strong. My sister moved out, and Rainbow kind of became mine after that. Rainbow went through a sort of depression phase when my sis moved out. She started ripping her fur out. According to the vet, it was because of depression. She stopped eventually though. Sometime last year, my mom accidentally turned on the dryer while Rainbow was in there. She didn't think to check because it's been years since the cats have slept in the dryer. I was at school when it happened. I came home and my mom told me, and I sobbed for 10 minutes straight. Mom told me she was just laying there, like she was dead, covered in blood and coughing it up too. But she survived. And she's still alive. She has saved my life more than once. You see, when I was a baby, I would stop breathing when I was asleep. I'm not sure if it was because of my asthma or sleep apnea. But you know how you aren't supposed to put animals in the crib with the baby? Well, Rainbow always slept in mine with me. And my mom always said She was glad she let Rainbow sleep with me. Because whenever I would stop breathing, Rainbow would get up out of my crib and run to Mom's room to wake her up. Mom would wake up and go check on me, and each time, she realized I wasn't breathing. If it wasn't for Rainbow, I'm not sure if I'd here today. She sleeps on me every night. She has trouble jumping now, and she hates being touched or being around anyone but who she lives with. She song hesitate to claw you though. She's a fighter, a survivor. Rainbow is a miracle cat. And I hope she lives for many more years. -RainbowMustache22
