Indieana:
I dismiss the thought before I can really think and walk to the warm kitchen already hearing Zayn laughing.
Jewels:
"Jewels I need you to come over, Indie is sinking before my eyes and I don't know what else to do." Carla, Indie's mom, voice cracks and I feel a wash of sympathy run over me.
"I'll be right there." I hang up the phone and turn to Nate who gives me a questioning look. "We have to go Nate, Indie needs us no matter how many times she pushes us away." I think about all the times I've shown up to her house, ready to comfort her only to have the door slowly shut on my face.
It's been about two weeks since I heard that she went to the hospital. I don't know what exactly happened and I have a feeling she won't tell me. I dismiss the thought before I can decide to get mad.
Nate seems to agree with me and jumps up off my bed and we make our way out the door to Indie's house. 15 minutes later I pull into her driveway in time to catch her mom shutting the door with groceries balanced on both arms. I jump out to help her with Nate following suit.
"Let me get some of these Car-"
Before I can finish my sentence, I'm greeted with an easy smile by Zayn Malik.
