"Nate, what's wrong?" I stop walking and grab his arm. "Indie...the girl I want to ask out is...".

He collects his thoughts and then looks up. He takes a deep breath and blurts out "I want to ask out Jewels. I've liked her for awhile but I just realized it. Why are you looking at me like that? Do you think she might say-"

I cut him off. "Stop Nate. I honestly don't know what she'll say. I was trying to picture you guys together. It's kinda cute actually." I answer, thinking about them together.

"Let me talk with Jewels and see what her feelings are about you. Wipe your horrified look off, I'm not gonna tell her you like her." I roll my eyes but he looks relieved.

We resume walking and head to Creative Writing. I love being in that class because I feel like I can express myself in lots of different ways.

We walk in the door and head to our seats. Mr.Wheeler starts talking and tells us to write down idea for the next writing prompt.

All too soon, school gets out and I make my way to my locker. I've got loads of homework, plus extra credit to boost my 89% in the class. Call me an over-achiever.

I wait for Jewels so she can drive me home. I wonder how I'll ask her about Nate nonchalantly. If I don't play it right, she'll know something is up. Hmm...

Jewels finally shows up and opens her locker to deposit her stuff. After she's done, she turns to me and asks "Ready?"

"Ready. I've got some chores and homework to do. Maybe you can come over after that and we can talk about Nate and stuff?" I look over at her, trying to gauge her reaction.

Her face is completely blank so I decide to leave her to her thoughts for now. We get to the parking lot and get in her used PT Cruiser. We drive home in complete silence until we arrive at my house. I tell her to call me so we can hang out and she agrees.

When I get out, I look in the rearview window and notice a van is parked in the house opposite of me. That's strange. I shut the car door and walk to the front door. I grab my keys from my bag and turn the lock, walking in and throwing my stuff on the couch. I head to the fridge and pull a peach out. I turn some One Direction on and start singing along.

"And we danced all night
To the best song ever,
We knew every line..."

When I finish, I throw the seed in the backyard and start my chores. I finish my other chores then start my last one. I grab my phone and start sweeping my entry way. I finish by brushing the dirt into the dustpan when I hear someone knock on the door. I look up and gasp, not believing what I'm seeing.

Niall:

"Hey, wake up everyone. I've got some bad news," Paul says.

While Paul tries to wake us up, I only hear "...bad news."

I sit up and pull my earphones from my ears and jump out of my bunk. While Paul tries to wake up Harry, I walk to the kitchen area and pull out some milk and cereal. I grab a bowl and favorite spoon and pour some Cookie Crisps.

While I eat, I remember my thoughts from last night and feel ashamed. The boys love me and definitely don't want me thinking those thoughts. I drown out those thoughts and wonder what Paul will tell us.

I'm on my second bowl of cereal when the boys walk in. Harry looks down right hostile for being woken up but the rest look fine. They grab a bowl and spoon- besides Liam, who grabs a fork- and follows my suit.

Once they have cereal and coffee, they sit down with me and wait for Paul's "bad news".

Paul sits across us and tells us that the Tour Bus had some mechanical issues and that they don't know how long it's going to be...broken for a lack of better words. I look out the window and I can tell that we aren't moving. In fact, it looks like we're on the side of the road. Huh. How did I not notice that?
