"Dustin?" Luca murmured, slowly waking up. Dustin lifted his head from his pillow, yawning.
"Yeah?"
Luca smiled to himself. He instantly loved Dustin's half-asleep voice.
"We have classes today."
"Fuck," Dustin cursed, sitting up. "I fucking hate college sometimes."
"Yeah, you and me both," Luca groaned. "Can we just skip?"
"Do we have tests? Goddammit, what's today?" Dustin scrambled for his phone, staring at the opening screen.
"Someone has a particularly dirty mouth this morning," Luca teased, staring at the ceiling.
"As opposed to any other time?" Dustin retorted, unamused.
"You never swear much."

"Go outside and smoke or something. I have to pass these classes."
"Yeah. It's my fault you want to be an engineer, of all things," Luca shot back.
"Oh yeah, because being a writer is so much more realistic," Dustin snapped.
"Maybe you should go fuck someone you actually think you're compatible with," Luca growled, standing and pulling his jeans on. Dustin stood up, refusing to show he was hurt.
"Maybe I should've slept with someone that's actually my soul mate," Dustin snapped. Luca went silent, freezing in his tracks.
"You don't think I'm your soul mate?" Luca asked softly.
"Lu, I didn't mean - "
Too late. The shorter boy with the emerald green eyes was gone.
