Fred's pov
"I'm not gonna make the same mistake twice. Though I am still not sure what he did last time, but I know that he did it on the inside so I should not give him room to do his trick." I said.
Mike's pov
Fred was entering each corner closer towards the inside than before, Maybe he thought I would use it again. His cornering was good, almost the same as me. If I try overtaking him from the outside, we will be side by side but he dose not have the same problem as Maggie and Chi plus has more horsepower than me probably so even if we were side by side he can just pull away. In that case, I'll try something else.
Fred's pov
Alright we are approaching the five consecutive hairpins, this is where I lost last time so I'll make sure I won't make the same mistake as last time. Once we approached a right hairpin, I downshifted to second gear and drifted through it while staying on the inside as much as possible. *flashes*. What the hell? I saw a flash from the other side, I turn my head and What the fu... Mike was trying to overtake me from the outside! "Don't you underestimate me!" I yelled as I moved to the outside to block him. During the next 2 hairpins, he did the same thing. This is getting annoying. Once we were about to enter the next hairpin, I saw him going to do the same thing. Alright the inside is mine. Just before we started drifting, I move to the outside a bit to make sure he can't overtake me. Suddenly something happened, I saw a light moved from my right to left. I took a pick out the window and my rear view mirror but can't find Mike. He can't be! I looked to my left and saw Mike on the inside pulling away. By the time we cleared the corner, more than half his car was in front of me. What's worse was that I couldn't catch up with him before we reached the next few hairpins and that he was faster than me in corners.
Mike's pov
Can't believe that worked. I actually managed to trick Fred. I was pretending to overtake him from the outside. Once me moved out I quickly dashed into the inside but there wasn't enough room to use it so I had to use the little wall on beside the gutter instead. Never mind, now I have to focus on finishing the race.
