Chapter 16

Mike's pov

Another car?! "Sweet, what car are you going to buy?" I asked. "Well I still want to drive the 86, so I decided to buy another car for us to take turn and us, though I am going to buy a used one. I'm heading to my friend's shop to pick one and your coming along." He said. "Alright, I'm excited." I said "Me too, now go get some sleep. We're going there tomorrow" My dad replied as he walked to his room. I wonder what car we should get.

The next day 12.00pm

"Alright, let's take a look." My dad said as we arrived at Fumihiro's (My dad's friend) Shop. "Michael, Nice to see you again." Fumihiro greeted us as we entered his shop. Though he sells a lot of used cars, most of them almost look new with the exception of a few scratches and some rust. "It has been quite a while hasn't it, Fumihiro." My dad replied. "Hey there Mike, you still drive that 86?" He said as he turned around and shake my hand. "Yup, how's business?" I asked. "It's been pretty good. By the way, have you been racing on Akina against people from Akagi?" He asked. Akagi, does he mean Fred, Bonbon, Chi and Maggie? "Yeah why?" I asked. "Well, a few of my friends said a group of teenagers from Akagi were defeated by an AE86 from Akina and there is only 2 people I know who can race that well in an AE86, you and your dad." He said. "Yeah that was me and I am friends with them." I said. "Well you've been gaining popularity everywhere, the older people started saying that the Akuma no Hachi-Roku has returned to Akina." He said smirking and so did I. Akuma no Hachi-Roku (Devil's 86) was what people in the past(About 8 years ago) called my dad's car when he was still racing on Akina. "Never mind all that. We're here to buy a car Fumihiro." My dad interrupted. "Right sorry about that, Let's go take a looked shall we go see." Fumihiro said as he lead my dad and I into a room containing the used car. "Wow, there's a lot here." I exclaimed. "Yeah." My dad said. There were TONS of used cars from Honda to Subaru and many more, plus most of them were in great condition. "Man it's hard to choose" I said. There are sooooo many to choose that it's ridiculous. "Yeah I agree and most of them are quite good." My dad said. "Well what kind of car do you want? I can help narrow down your choices for you." Fumihiro said. "Thanks Fumihiro, I'm looking for something like a rally car and is a sedan model with an engine with not too high of a displacement ." He said. "Sorry, but I don't think I have many cars under those conditions. However I have a few cars coming in next week, you want to wait or should we proceed now?" Fumihiro asked. "I think I'll wait, you ok with that." My dad said looking at me. I nodded in agreement and we went back to the 86 and head home.

Once my dad and I got home, I kept on thinking about what car we should buy. Subaru? Mazda? Nissan? Ugh, there's too many choices. *Buzz* Huh? Did I get a massage? Turns out, Maggie sent me a text.

Maggie: Hi Mike.

Me: Hi Maggie what is it?

Maggie: Oh, I was wonder if : Oh, I was wonder if you could come over and help me fix my car. You don't have to if you don't want to.

Me: Oh I don't mind, but why didn't you asked your brother for help?

Maggie: Oh he went out with his friends to do a school project.

Me: Oh ok, I'll come at around 1pm. Is that ok?

Maggie: Sure Thanks Mike

Me: You're welcome.

"Hey dad I'm heading to my friend's house." I said as I walked to the garage. "Sorry, but I'm going to a meeting at work now." My dad said. "God damn it. Then car you drop me off and pick me up later?" I asked. "Sure, but I'll be gone for quite a while." He said. "Me too." I replied. "Really? What are you going to do there?" He asked. "My friend said that her car was having problems with her car, so I told her that I would come and do what I can to fix it." I replied. "You mean your Girlfriend." My dad said smirking. "Shut up dad." I said. "Haha. Never mind shall we go?" He asked. I nodded in agreement and we hopped into the 86 and gave dad directions to Maggie's house.

15 mins later

"Alright, there is it." I said pointing at Maggie's house. "Ok then, Call me when you need me to pick you up." My dad said. "Got it." I replied as I got out of the 86 and walked to Maggie's front door. I rang the doorbell and waited for a respond. Soon someone answered the door, it wasn't Maggie but a woman who looked in her late 20's or early 30's. "Hello, who are you?" The woman asked kindly. "I'm Mike, one of Maggie's friends." I answered. "Oh, I'm her mother. Come in." She said letting me into her house. Wow, her house is really cool. "Maggie is upstairs over there." Her mom said pointing at a set of stairs at a corner. "Thank you." I said and walked up the stairs. Soon I found Maggie in a room on her bed. Wait a minute, there was another person talking to her? "Hi Maggie." I said interrupting their conversation. "Oh, hi Mike." She said getting off her bed. "Oh so is he your drifting boyfriend." Her friends said smirking. "Shut up Mari." Maggie said blushing in embarrassment. "So who is your friend here?" I asked. "Oh her name is Mary. One of my friends outside of school." She said pointing at her. She was wearing a dress with long sleeves covered in black and white stripes. "Hello. Maggie told me a lot about." Mary said. "What did she tell you?" I asked. "Well she told me that she loved you and that you were her boyfriend." She said smiling at Maggie and I. "What????!!!" Maggie and I exclaimed in unison. "Just kiddin guys." She said laughing. Maggie and I turned to each other blushing like mad and immediately looked away even though I fell the same way. Wait what am I thinking. Shut up.

Maggie's pov

Omg why does Mary have to say that, but it's true that I like him. Wait no! I like him as a friend not That!

Mike's pov

"Um, Maggie where is your car?" I asked try to forget about That. "Oh it's in the garage, follow me." She said walking out of the room as I followed her. "Hey wait for me." Mary said running after us. "Oh by the way Mike, I sold my car got a new one." Maggie said. "Is that the one you want me to fix?" I asked. "Yeah but the car I bought was used so should have expected this to happened." She said frowning. "Don't worry, let just see if I can fix it." I said trying to encourage her. She nodded in agreement and continue leading me to her garage with Mary following behind us. I wonder what car she bought?

AN: Sorry guys but I'm not going to tell you guys what car Micheal (Mike's dad) is getting yet or the car Maggie bought(Even though most of you might not care). But I have something planned for the next chapter. It could be good, it could be trash. It all depends on you guys. Plz leave any comments if you have any and I hope you all will enjoy my story
