Things have been taken too far

I was watching the news and a report came on about overly-spoiled kids (because our news is desperate for content) and there are FIVE-YEAR-OLD GETTING SMARTPHONES FOR CHRISTMAS! I wasn't allowed one until this year! Some people are out there, starving and these people are buying their five-year-old a smart-phone?! You could use that money to help a charity! To put some clothes on a hobos back! To feed the old man down the street who hasn't eaten for three days! If you are one of these people buying five-year-olds smartphones, don't be offended. Just consider what you could be getting instead. Kids don't need phones. I only got one because I was moving from primary school to high school and I need it to be able to contact my parents or for my parents to contact me IN AN EMERGENCY! Five-year-olds won't be having an emergency where their school is let out early and their parents didn't know. Five-year-olds don't need to know if their parents parked somewhere else or will be like two minutes late. THEY DON'T NEED PHONES!!!!!!! People are trying to get kids OFF their electronics and here are these parents giving their kids a reason to sit on their lazy-as butts and gain weight, damage their eyesight and effect their sleep. There are so many negative effects that these electronics produce. I know I might sound like a hypocrite(because I am on my electronics too much) but please. When I was five I would play outside or hang out with my friends or even make a cardboard dinosaur (yes we did that once. It was huge, we have photos and I will show you one day). Giving your child a phone at a young age will help them lose creativity skills. I am quite creative, and that's because I had no electronics (I had a tv in the living room and that was it) so it improved my creativity. If you want your child to be creative, give them a phone when they are entering high school (or middle school if you are american).

Have an awesome day and peace out recruits!
