I woke the next morning feeling worst than the day before. At least I don't have to go to school today.

I was having my breakfast all alone, no one was at home. That was weird, should I be scared? They probably something to get Maya and me back together.

I was washing the dishes when I noticed a note on the fridgen, "Honey we had to leave earlier, come to Topanga's at 8pm. Love you, Mom".

They are totally up to something, but what?

I can be here all by myself, I need someone. I'm just gonna call Farkle, he'll know how I am feeling. Because honestly I don't how I really feel.

"Farkle, I got your text. What's the problem?" He said as I opened the door to let him in once he got here.

"Tell me how I'm feeling"

"Huh?" I confused him.

"You always seem to know what's going with everyone, so come one tell me how I'm feeling" I said.

"Riley, that's not how it works"

"Just tell me how I'm feeling" I screamed.

"About Maya?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Not like that, but yes. See? You always know what's going on"

"I just see the facts, that's all. Maya told me how she feels about you, I told you to ask her what was going on. She told you and now you don't know how to feel about it. As simple as that" He said.

"She told you because you found out first, not because she chose to" I said.

"You ain't lying. But you can't expect me to tell you if you feel the same for her"

"Can't you at least tell me how to get out of this mess? I want her back, I need her back" I said sitting on the couch.

"You've never expected thia to happen, huh?"

"How is that I have never seen what she was hiding? Now that everything is out, she was kind of obvious you know" I smiled at the memories of my peaches being jelaous whenever Lucas was around.

"Sadly, we have been raised like that. Everyone notices Maya was pissed off anytine you and Lucas were together, but no one expected that the one she had a crush on was you. We might be more open minded but we still have in mind those basic stupid sterotypes" Farkle said.

"She have told me so many times that Lucas had nothing to do with this. I just never thought..." He cut me off.

"It was you the one that had her heart" I just nodded in response. "With that in your head, I'll let you think about how you really feel about her" He closed the door behind him.

He is right, I never thought about myself as an option.

But she is my best friend. My best friend that kissed me right on the lips, ugh this is so complicated.

Doesn't matter how hard I try, I still don't know how I feel. I keep overthinking the situation but all I'm sure about is I've never been more confused.

A knock on the door got me out of my thoughts and confusion.

"Uncle Shawn?" I was shocked, what was he doing here?

"Hey Riles, are you ready to go to Topanga's?"

"I can go by myself you know" I stepped back.

"But I would like to talk to you on our way to the bakery" I went out closing the door behind me.

They are up to something, I knew it. Probably Maya is gonna be at Topanaga's so we can talk about what happened. I'm not ready to face her.

"I know what happened with Maya. You don't have to act like that with me" He said.

"What do you know exactly?"

"That she kissed, why she kissed you. And that never heard from you ever again since that night" I just looked at the ground while I kept walking.

"This whole situation is so confusing... I don't know what to do" I stuttered.

"Why don't you talk to her? It's ok if you don't feel the same way Riles, don't play with her feelings"

That's the thing, I don't want to tell her that I don't feel the same way. I'm not saying I do, I just... I love her and that kiss was special.

She is special, she is my best friend that I have always loved and that's why she is so special to me. And, ugh I keep getting more confused.

"It's complicated, you won't get it" I walked faster.

"So, you do feel same way?"

"It's complicated, you won't get it" I kept walking faster than him.

"Riley, you aren't answering me" He stopped me.

"Yes, I'm telling you that you don't understand anything so stop asking" I said as I rushed to get faster to the bakery.

I got in with eyes closen afrajd of what was inside. But when I opened them, nothing happened. My family was there by themselves waiting for me.

"Are you doing an intervention for me now or what?" I said.

"There some things that need yo be talk honey" I rolled my eyes.

"No, there aren't"

"Honey, you haven't spoke to Maya in several days. You're best friends..." I cut her off.

I am not proud of what I chose to do, I wasn't thinking. It felt like the wiser thing to do in order to make then stop bothering me.

"And what if we aren't best friends anymore, huh?" I tried to act cool but it killed me to say those words.

"What are you talking about? That can't be true" My dad asked worried.

"Yeah, why would I like to be friends with someone like her? She is just some broken girl that needs that love that no one gave to her... or no one will" I almost broke in tears at the last part, there is no way he is buying that.

That's it, he knows I'm lying.

He wasn't saying a word but why? I looked up and saw he was shocked looking at the entry.

He was looking at Maya, she was there frozen with tears in her eyes. She was looking directly at me, I walked one step as she ran away from the bakery.

"Maya, wait. Maya" I screamed as I ran after her.

She has always been faster than me. Like that wasn't enough, it was dark and it was raining. How am I supossed to find her?

"Peaches, Maya. Please, please, please. I can explain it, please. I can't lose you again. Just let me..." I slipped as I kept running.

I was there all alone under the rain on a dark night but that didn't matter.

Maya was all alone by herself who knows where. All I care right now is about my Peaches.

What have I done? What have I said? She might be a broken girl looking for love but she is so much more. She is everything I have, she is the answer... she is the answer to my confusion, isn't she?
