Matthews, Topanga, Shawn, Riley and me were in Philadelphia looking for the time machine they buried years ago.

I really don't like time machines. Don't get me wrong I think it's amazing to see after some years if your life turned out like you expected.

But that's for people who will success at their lifes. But me? I'm just an average girl. The last I need is to see that my life didn't turn out as I expected.

"We'll look over here Riley, you and Maya go and dig on the backyard" We nodded and picked our shovels.

We started digging. Well, at least I was.

"Riley, it would be great a little help" I said looking at her who was grabbing some flowers.

She looked adorable.

I could look at her forever.

"I would love to help you" She said walking right in my direction.

"Great" I said giving her a shovel so she could dig with me.

"When I end up grabbing enough flowers to makes us some flower crowns" She said putting down the shovel I gave her.

"Riley!"

"Shhh" She said putting her finger on my lips.

"Fine! Continue grabbing flowers while I keep doing all the hard work" I said trying to look mad but the truth is that I fall apart every time she touches me.

I turned around and kept digging. Walking backwards when I suddenly crash into Riley.

I turned around trying not to fall but it made it worst.

I fell on top of Riley.

We were face to face.

She was behind me.

My heart was beating really fast in that moment and I think she noticed.

"Maya, is that your heart? What's wrong with you? Why does it beat so fast?" She asked worried.

"I... Wasn't expecting falling for y... I mean falling on top of you. I was afraid I could've hurted you" I said stuttering.

"I'm fine, don't worry babe" She said looking me right in the eyes. Just with that looking my heart started beating even faster than the last time.

I wonder if she noticed. Now what excuse am I gonna tell her?

"Maya?" She told me getting me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah?" I said already freaking out  inside.

"I can't get up unless you do it first" She reminded me we were still on the floor.

"Oh right, sorry" I said already getting up. "I'll go with Shawn and your parents and dig over there, you continue here" I said practically running, but I turned once to see her reaction.

She was standing there looking at me confused.

Here I am running away from my feelings, literally.

I hate keeping secrets from her.

After digging for what it felt like an eternity Riley came and put a flower crown on my head.

"You're supposed to be digging" I said.

"Oh, but I was digging for an hour and all I found was this old metal box" She said.

We all stopped digging. Oh Riles, what am I gonna do with you? I thought to myself looking at her.

Mr Feeny appeared, me and Riley did the Feeny call. My life is complete. Then we sat on a bench next to the door.

I noticed Riley was looking at her lap with her upset face. Something was bothering her, I was about to asked what happen when Mr Feeny sat with us.

We talked for a while until Matthews told us it was time to go home.

"Maya, aren't you coming?" Riley asked concerned.

"Yeah, I'll go in a second" I said smirking at her. She just nodded and went with the others.

"Mr Feeny, could you give me an advice?" I asked him.

"Of course, what happen sweety?" He said smiling at me.

"Well I've been keeping this secret from someone I really care about. The only reason I didn't tell her it's because I'm afraid of losing her" I said looking at my lap.

"I think you should tell Riley the truth, but that's what anyone would tell you so..." I cut him off.

"How did you know it was about Riley? I think it's too obvious" I said scratching my neck.

"Sort of. I'm gonna tell you this, the more you keep the secret the wore it'll come out" He said. I just nodded and hugged him before saying goodbye.

I was on my way to my favorite park near my apartment. I was going to make my own time machine.

I participate on the time machine that Lucas, Farkle and Riley did. But I'm gonna hope for one more thing.

When I got to the park, after digging for a while I put the stuff on the metal box and then on the hole.

What did I put on the time machine? You might be wondering. I put the flower crown Riley made for me  and a picture of us inside of one of my favorite books.

In ten years when I open this time machine. All I expect is having Riley by my side.

As a friend, as a girlfriend I don't care. I just don't wanna lose her.

"I love you Riles" I muttered to myself as I headed back home.
