I just got a text from Riley, apparently she got something to tell me. Probably about Ranger Rick.

Honestly Riley is the last person I wanna see. At least today.

She spent the whole day with Huckleberry. Riley and I were on the lockers and after I grabbed my History book, she was already gone.

Then I found her in the classroom, laughing about everything Lucas said.

I should be the owner of that laugh, but I will never be. At least not on a romantic way.

But that's not the worst part. She always sit next to me in all the classes but she hadn't looked at me or talked to me in any of them.

And now suddenly she needs to talk to me. Of course I'll go anyway, doesn't matter how hard I try I can't be mad at her.

I finally got to her apartment and enter through her window. She was waiting for me there.

"Maya, before you say anything" She took a deep breath "I'm so sorry for  act like I acted today" She continued avoiding any eye contact with me.

"Ril..." She cut me off.

"Let me finish" I just nodded so she could go on "It's just everything was going so well between me and Lucas that I didn't wanna ruin it" She said as I rolled my eyes in response.

Lucas, Lucas, Lucas. Can we not mention him at least for one second? Couldn't it be just you and me for once?

"But that was the last time you heard me talk about Lucas or any other guy. At least for this weekend" She smiled at me "Cause you are staying over here the whole weekend" She said looking at me.

Ok, did she just read my mind? I know we always joke about it but I don't think we can actually read each others mind, can't we?

"I'd love to but I have to ask my mom first" I said.

"I've already asked her and she said yes, so get read for the best weekend of your life!" She said practically screaming so the whole neighborhood could hear her.

"Yeah, so what do you got prepare for us?" I said standing up from the bay window.

"I already downloaded some movies and tv shows. I also got a lot of snacks and drinks. Because we aren't getting out of this room on the whole weekend" She said with a big smile.

"And what if I wanna pee?" I said crossing my arms while I saw how her smile disappeared in one second.

"Ok, we can get out of the room to pee" She said giggling. I love when she does that.

After that she suggested to sleep tonight so we can stay up all day tomorrow. She gave some of her pajamas, cause I wasn't gonna sleep on my jeans.

There was a problem, every time I sleepover her house I always sleep on a mattress. But Riley told me they threw it away last month.

She told me I can sleep with her on her bed. I simply nodded but the truth is that I was freaking out inside.

Every time there was a chance to not be so close to Riley I took it. I love being the closest possible to her but I don't want her to notice how nervous I get around her.

We were on her bed and literally one second after we lay down there she was already sleeping. She looked so adorable. She always does.

I could stare at her all night. Actually that's what I did. I know it's creepy but if you had an angel right in front of your eyes, wouldn't you be looking at it?

My look went down right to her lips. I wonder how would they taste.

Maybe this will be the night that we kiss for the first time, or is that just me and my imagination?

Riley's voice got me out of my thoughts. She was sleep talking. "Maya... I wanna tell you... I wanna tell everyone... But I can't" That was all she said. What couldn't she tell me or anyone?

I woke up the next morning by Riley throwing pillows at me.

"I'm awake, I'm awake!" I said getting up and falling from the bed.

"Finally" She said letting go the pillows she had in her hands.

She brought us some pancakes and coffee and we had our breakfast on the bay window. But I couldn't get out of my head what Riley said last night.

"Riley?" I asked her.

"Yeah?" She said looking at me.

"Is there anything bothering you?" I said "Even if it's about Lucas" I continued rolling my eyes.

"No. And remember this weekend it's just for us" She said standing up and sitting next to me "Just you and me" She added holding my hand.

"Just you and me" I said looking at our hands and then at her.
