A/N: This chapter will be a little bit different from the other ones. It will not be told from Maya's P.O.V, it'll be told from no one's P.O.V. I'm not very good at it but I feel like this chapter has to be done like that. Enjoy the chapter, sweethearts!
PS. This chapter goes to rilayalover05 bc I love her and i  honor of me just learning how to tag someone on a chapter.

Maya did it, she finally did it. She kissed her, she kissed her best friend, she kissed the love of her life. But, was it the right thing to do?

None of them had said a word about it but you could tell how both of them were still shocked about what happened.

Riley was heading to her apartment, she had the same facial expression she had since Maya kissed her.

She laid on her bed and all she could do was think about her best friend, about that kiss.

It was just a kiss, it didn't mean anything. But, why am i overthinking the situation? It was just a kiss... Those words kept going through Riley's head.

Tears started to come out from her eyes, she didn't knew what she was crying about. Finally she fell asleep drowning on her tears and thoughts.

Maya stayed in shock staring at her open door in front of her. The open door her girl used to leave. That door could stay open forever but she knew Riley will never walk through it ever again.

It was just a kiss. I told her what I feel for her with that kiss, what's wrong with feeling what I feel? What's wrong with me? It was just a kiss... Those were the words that kept going through Maya's head for ours until she fell asleep.

Both of them fell empty, like if a missing piece of their lifes was lost somewhere. What they didn't know was that the only thing they needed was each other. Deep inside they knew this but they weren't brave enough to admit it.

Would it really kill you if we kiss?

Riley and Maya woke up the next morning wishing everything could get better but for that to happen someone should give the first step. And none of them was going to be that person.

"Riley, you'll be late for school" Cory shouted getting Riley out of her thoughts.

"Can I skip school?" Riley asked.

"Are you sick or something? Let me see you, could you unlock the door?" Cory said.

"If I locked the door was for none of you to enter and I locked the window as well" She said.

"Riley Matthews open this door right now" Her father shouted.

"No. I'm not getting out of here just to listen to one of your stupid life lessons. That's the last thing I need right now"

"Oh, so that's the issue here. Fine" He said.

"Wait, so I can stay here?" She asked but there was no response.

Riley slowly opened her door to see if her father was still there but he wasn't. She was about to get out of her room when Cory appeard in her door once again.

"So, you finally decided to come out?" He asked.

"Co...come out? What do you mean? Did you just call someone or...?" Riley stuttered.

"Calm down. I meant coming out of your room.... Is there anything you aren't telling me?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Nope" She closed the door on his face.

Then she wrapped herself on her bed wishing his dad would disappear but he wasn't going anywhere.

"If there is anything you are not telling me, don't worry I have all day. I've just called sick so I'm not going to work" He said.
