Riley and I were on the hall waiting for our class to start. The semi-formal was getting closer and Riley was freaking out because Ranger Rick hasn't asked her to the dance yet. Actually she'd been freaking out since ever, literally.

"It's all over the front of my notebook. Riley hearts Lucas forever" She got me out of my thoughts.

"What's on the back of your notebook?" I said.

"Riley and Lucas we're just friends" She said with her puppy face.

Oh Riley, I know exactly how you feel every time I look at you. Every time you are around Lucas.

Matthews chasing me through the halls made me left Riley.

The rest of the day the only thing Riley did was talk about Lucas, more than usual. She thinks Lucas is going to wait until the last minute to ask her to the dance.

I really don't know if he's going to do that, but it doesn't look like a great plan to me.

Suddenly I started to name a lot things that could happen on his big ask and they started to happen, even Yogi on skates.

"Yes, yes. I would love to go to the semi-formal with you" She said really happy thinking that the big ask was from Lucas. But it was from Charlie Gardner.

I'm not actually jealous about the fact that Charlie asked Riley to the dance because she doesn't like him back.

Actually I feel bad for him, I know how it is to be in love with someone who doesn't love you back.

"What do I do?" Riley said standing right in front of me, looking for a solution on my eyes.

What about reject him and go to the dance with me? Oh right, that will never be an option.

I will never be he option, at least no when it comes to love stuff.

"I can't go with you that night because... my parents have something that night" She said.

Well, she rejected him somehow. Now apparently she has to babysit Auggie. I like to see what's gonna happen next.

"Oh, you can't go to the dance" Lucas said, who was standing behind her back.

That happened, Lucas happened. As usual, I shouldn't be surprised.

He didn't only found out about Riley can't going to the dance, he also found out about Charlie asking Riley to the dance. This is getting interesting.

"Oh, Charlie, you may not know this, but Riley and I kind of have an unofficial thing going" Lucas said trying to give an explanation of why he haven't asked Riley to the dance.

Well done Huckleberry. You screwed it up.

I mean I don't want Lucas and Riley together, but is that his way of winning her heart?

The rest of the afternoon was pretty boring. I don't know if prefer haven Riley talking about Lucas all day or Riley in shock saying nothing by my side.

Anyway I'm in my room, looking for something to wear to the semi-formal. I decided to put on a red dress.

I looked myself on the mirror, I guess it looked ok. My phone buzzing got me out of my thoughts. It was a message from Riley

Riley: Bay window, now.

I made my way to Riley's apartment, once I got there I entered through the window. Riley was already there waiting for me.
