Connor stop it!"
You yelled at your boyfriend. You were filming a video for your youtube channel and he wouldn't stop making noise in the background. Either his phone would ding or he would make a comment about what you were saying.
"Stop talking and put your phone on silent or your going to wait in the living room with my parents!"
You warned him. He was scared of your dad. He was a big and tall man but was a big softy on the inside, but Connor had only met him a few times ,due to living in California, and didn't know that.
"Alright, alright."
Connor groans turning his phone on silent and zipping his mouth and throwing away the key. He lets you finish your video. After turning off your camera you look at Connor. He smiles at something on twitter.
"His smile is beautiful."
You mumble to yourself, putting away your tripod.
"What was that?"
He looks across the room at you.
"Oh nothing. Just being a psycho and talking to myself as usual."
He rolls his eyes giggling a bit before standing up.
"Come on lets go be psychos together."
Quoting The Perks of Being a Wallflower he holds out his hand and you take it. You happily oblige and go for a walk with him around your small town, yelling, singing, dancing. Just being total...well psychos. Being stared at by all the people around but you both don't care because you're together. You make it to the park and sit close to each other on a bench.
"What am I going to do when you go back to California?"
You lean your head on his shoulder.
"You could come with me."
He says quickly but you catch every word. He looks at you nervously.
"I would love that Con but I have school. I cant just drop out of college to go to California."
He nods.
"Yeah I know Kätlin."
So many thoughts are in your mind as you sit in silence in the park.
"What about online classes? Its a long shot but your school might have them. Right?"
"I can check but my dad pays for my classes. You'll have to convince him."
"Your dad is terrifying!"
You laugh.
"On the outside maybe but on the inside he's just a big teddy bear. You can do it."
"Only because its you."
He kisses you on the forehead. Later that night after finding out about the online classes you can take Connor helps make your dads favorite dinner.
"Amazing dinner Kätlin."
"Actually Connor made it. I just helped."
"Really? Well Connor this is one of the best chicken parmesans I've ever had."
"Thank you sir. Kätlin told me it was your favorite."
"So what's the catch?"
"What do you mean catch dad?"
"Well whenever you or your mom makes this for me you always want something."
"Its true."
Your mom pipes in and laughs.
"The last time I made this for him I bought myself a new stove."
She finishes and everyone laughs.
"You know how I'm always talking about the great opportunities I could have for my youtube career by living in California?"
He nods.
"Well I was wondering if I could move out there with Connor."
You look at Connor hopefully then back at your dad.
"She would take online classes and she would live with my friends and I. Or we could find a small apartment."
Its silent for a few moments.
"I'll have to think about it."
Is all he says before putting his dishes in the sink and going to the living room. You let out a breath you didn't know you were holding.
"I'll talk to him."
Your mom says.
"Thank you."
Connor says before you can.
"He hasn't said no yet."
You shrug and start putting dishes in the dishwasher. The next day you are editing your new video when you hear your dad and Connor talking. A few minutes later they both walk in to your room.
"My little girls going to California."
You squeal like a little girl and hug your dad saying thank you several times. A week later you and Connor are road tripping to California to be psychos together in another state.
