-Your Good Side- ~Part 6~

Nathan's POV:

I skipped the rest of my classes for the day and drove home. Max was a vampire. Tom & Jay were vampires. What kind of world did I live in? Were Werewolves, Goblins, & Zombies real too? Hopefully not zombies..

Unfortunately for me, Dad was home.

What are you doing home early? He asked when I walked in.

I...uh...school let out early. I said as he shrugged a whatever.

Alright, well listen. I need to go to work at 6pm to 5am today. Siva will be over at 6pm also to watch you. Dad told me.

I'm not a baby!!! I whined to him.

Sound like one. Dad said rolling his eyes.

I'm 17. I can watch out for myself. I said.

Look it would be great for me to know your safe. You could have died when the car hit you. Siva's your friend anyway. Dad told me. I knew he wanted to keep me safe so I sighed a "fine."

Dad went to his room and I said I was going for a walk. I pulled out my phone and texted  Nareesha.

To Nareesha:

Siva's coming over at mine at 6pm. Come over please?

I texted her my address too. As soon as I hit send she texted me back quicker than lightening.

To Nathan:

Be over tonight :)

I laughed putting my phone back in my pocket. I started to walk, but froze when I felt someone near.

Where are you going? A familiar voice asked me. I jumped, my heart beating faster.

Whoa calm down. Didn't mean to scare you. Max said putting a hand on my shoulder.

You didn't scare me...I was shocked. I said once I could speak.

Scared. He said poking my chest with his finger. His touch made me shiver and that made him smirk at me. He picked me up which surprised me.

Ayy!! I said making him laugh at me. I glared playfully and slapped his chest. Slapping him hurt my hand so I cradled it on my own chest.

Yeah I'm like stone so I wouldn't slap if I were you. Max said running back to my house.

The reason I went on this walk is because I didn't do anything in gym. I complained once we got back to my house.

Oh I'm sorry would you like me to put you down and you can walk the rest of the way? Max asked me.

No. I want to be held. I said grinning at him.

2:30

He jumped from the car space into my open bedroom window.

How did you know this was my room? I asked.

Umm....I may have stalked you to know where you live...and I may have watched you sleep a couple of times... Max said awkwardly.

No that's not creepy whatsoever. I said.

Sorry. I feel protective over you. I did save you twice and you've only been here for what like less than a month? Max defended himself putting me down and sitting on my bed.

I'm a danger magnet what can I say? I shrugged sitting down next to him.

Oh, but shh. My dad's home and he doesn't know I have someone over. I said shushing him.

I know he's here. I'll be right back. Max said about to walk out my door towards my dad's door. I grabbed his arm making him stop and look at me.

Yes? He asked me turning around and facing me.

You can't eat him!!! I said making him bark out a loud laugh. One that made my father appear at my door.

Who are you?! He roared at Max. Then he saw me on my bed with my hand in Max's still. Lovely scene.

It's not what it looks like. I said standing up in front of Max before my Dad could swing. Max shifted so he was in front of me as soon as I did that.

Go to your job now and forget me and what you just saw. Max told my father using his gift.

I have to go to work now. My father said walking away. Max and I watched him get in his car and drive off.

You thought I'd eat him?! Max asked me laughing.

Your a vampire aren't you? That's what you do right? I asked.

Yeah, well we don't eat humans. We suck their blood. My family and I only drink animal blood because were around humans a lot. Jay jokes were vegetarians. Max explained to me.

Oh. I said feeling stupid.

4:30 pm

How about tonight, I take you to mine to meet my parents? Max asked me later.

Dinner...would I have to drink..? I trailed off not wanting to even think about it.

No. I won't ever let you near blood. I meant like actual food. Max told me.

Vampires still eat food? I asked him.

No. We can still eat it, but we cough it up later. He told me.

To much information, but I'll go. I said pulling a grossed out look.

5:35pm.

I want to try something with you. I've never tried it with a human before.. Max said.

I-I just met you a-and I'm not re-

No not that Nath. Max said coming closer.

Just be still. Don't move. Max told me. I stayed as a statue as Max leaned over my face. His body was cold, but his breath was hot. He kissed my neck coming towards my mouth. I couldn't help, but move kissing him back and wrapping my hands around his neck. All of a sudden his lips snapped close, and he jumped backwards.

What's wrong? I asked confused why he stopped. It took him a few minutes to answer.

I told you to stay still and you moved. Max snapped at me.

I'm sorry. I said looking down.

Nathan, I'm sorry I snapped at you. I just didn't want you to get hurt. Max told me hugging me gently.

How would you hurt me? I asked.

Remember when you slapped me and you hurt your hand? If I slapped you, I could seriously injure or kill you. I didn't want you to move so I wouldn't lose control. I can smell your blood. It's never smelt so delicious and I don't want something to happen. Max said as I understood.

Remind me to stay on your good side. I don't want to be slapped. I said as the doorbell rang.
