Nathan's POV:

As usual, Max left before I woke up. I did my usual morning routine then joined my Dad downstairs. He had his work papers and our newspaper in front of him. He didn't look happy nor mad.

What's wrong? I asked taking a seat across from him.

A couple days ago one of my closest friends died. Dad told me. He slid the newspaper next to me.

Murdered? I exclaimed. He took the newspaper back putting his head in his hands. I didn't know what to do so I twiddled my spoon in my tea. I really wished Jay was here to do his emotion thing. Happiness would be great right now.

You need to get to school. Dad said getting up, gathering his stuff, and walking upstairs. I sat for a moment more, drank my tea then left. Kelsey talked to me about how cool it was our boyfriends were vampires, but I kinda drowned her out. Nareesha on the other hand was quieter than usual. Kelsey didn't say anything when Nareesha was around either. When Kelsey did finally notice Nareesha being quiet, Nareesha told us she was transferring to the school that Siva and Kumar go to.

You can't just leave! Kelsey said.

I have a family member who lives on the reservation and she thinks it would be great. I'm leaving this Friday. Nareesha told us.

That's in two days! Kelsey exclaimed not liking this situation whatsoever.

I know. I'm sorry, but my parents think it'll be great. Didn't you hear about the mysterious murder? Nareesha asked.

Yeah my Dad said it was one of his friends. I said.

Sorry to hear. Nareesha said smiling a little.

¤Friday¤

It was Nareesha's last day. Max was out of town hunting more near Canada with his family so I felt a little alone. So did Kelsey so we stuck together after school.

Another murder. Dad told me when I came downstairs.

Really? Anyone you know? I asked him.

No. It was a shop owner. Happen last night as he was closing up apparently. Dad told me.

Did he have a camera? Maybe it saw someone. I said.

It was found on the ground. Someone attacked him and his camera. Dad told me.

As I drove to school, I was becoming slightly worried. Maybe Max could do something. Like persuade the murdered to turn himself in. Most students didn't come today, parents in fear kept them home. Mostly freshman and sophomores were out than juniors and seniors. The only good thing about this was teachers not assigning work because too many students were gone.

Nareesha was here, but Kelsey texted us both that her parents kept her home.

Is the other reason your leaving because of Siva? I asked her at lunch.

Maybe. Nareesha said smirking.

Why leave though? Your a junior. He's a senior. Won't he just leave soon? I asked now being serious again.

He didn't tell you? I thought you two were like best friends. Kumar's leaving this year, but Siva's leaving next year. Saves money he said. He also said he wants to stay around with his dad for awhile. Nareesha told me.

Oh. I haven't spoke in awhile. Busy. I said. Thankfully the bell rang and I waved goodbye before leaving to my next class.

Next class was just teachers telling us that since most every student was gone that we could just leave. I walked outside and saw Max standing by his car where my car was parked.
