I stood outside the dorm wet and freezing, waiting for Zach to come out of the shower but he seemed to be taking ten times longer than usual.
Why wasn't I in the room? Well, Lex had decided that I stunk too much and I shouldn't be allowed in. Seb obviously wasn't going to even try to argue with her and I was 99% sure he hadn't told her that he wasn't actually gay yet so he was probably trying to keep me away from Lex too.
I still couldn't believe he liked her too. I mean, in six years, I had never thought to notice the way he looked at her. I felt like such an idiot! But then again, so were they. They were crazy about each other and hadn't done anything about it. I wondered how much longer they could keep this going without confessing.
Should I interfere? They didn't seem to be getting anywhere without interference but it was more risky because they were both my best friends and I had never helped both sides of a relationship at once, let alone the two people I was closest to. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be as good as playing Cupid as I was with simply giving advice. But, I had to try.
As I began to sit down, Seb opened the door and told me that Zach had come out of the bathroom 10 minutes ago before Lex appeared and pulled him back in. Brilliant. Here I was, trying to help them, and they were plotting against my health. I rushed into the bathroom, being sure to give all of them an evil look. I would complain later when I was warm and dry enough to actually speak.
I think that shower was the longest and best one I've ever had. Despite the fact that I could feel my cough and cold coming, at least Zach might finally start making a conscious effort to stay away from me so that he didn't catch anything.
After an hour and a half of using every single shampoo and body wash as excuses to stay in the shower for longer, Lex started banging on the door saying she needed to pee. Liar. We had another toilet just outside the dorm, she could have used that one. I decided to get out anyway because she would never give up until she got what she wanted.
As I walked out in my sweatpants and loose T-shirt with my hair dripping, I saw that Lex had already got Catching Fire set up and Seb was trying to explain to Zach that he had to get off his bed because we usually used his bed as a sofa for movie night and we needed to move it.
Let's just say it's not something I hope will ever want to experience again. Zach got angry at Seb so Lex got angry at Zach so Seb tried to calm Lex down, while I stood there wishing I was back in the shower.
I decided to move my bed instead and none of them even noticed. Realising there was going to be four of us watching and we would probably need another bed in case Seb fell asleep, which was highly probable, I started to move his too before Lex saw me.
"SOPH! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" she shouted, forgetting to lower her volume from screaming at Zach.
"Moving the beds?" I replied.
It took a few moments for Lex to realise and when she did she went back to shouting at Zach.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING STANDING THERE?! HELP HER!" She shouted at Zach.
"WHY DON'T YOU TELL YOUR BOYFRIEND?!" Zach replied, obviously frustrated that he was being screamed at.
"WHAT BOYFRIEND?! I DON'T HAVE A BOYFRIEND!?"
"SEB!"
"What? Seb? He's not - What? That's ridiculous! What - Why would you even say that?! That's just - What?" She replied, frustrated at her own stuttering. I raised my eyebrows at her nervousness before looking over at Seb who I could tell was trying to avoid my gaze.
