Jason's pov

I can't help but stare at the smiling dancing goddess before me. "Did you know beforehand?" Luke asks, crossing his arms. "Nope. And this better not be some prank." He laughs. "She'd really have gotten us then." I smile. I'm gonna be a father.

*later*

I turned the radio up loud. We were driving to Vegas for the honeymoon. "Do you even know how to gamble?" She asks. I laugh. "Of course I do. I do it every year when we're in town for the ACM awards." She laughs and rests a hand on her stomach. I turn the radio down. "You okay?" "Yeah... Nerves I guess I've never been pregnant and.... This well it obviously wasn't planned." "Hey girl, we can handle it. We'll be okay." "Are you sure? Are we ready to be parents? I just don't know." Oh man, here we go. Pregnant woman hormones. "We'll be fine, baby. Calm down." I say, squeezing her hand slightly. We get to Vegas and to our hotel. "Deluxe." I gasp, smiling. "There's a five star buffet downstairs. Let's hit it. I'm starved." I laugh. "Any cravings yet?" "Jay I'm only a few weeks along. Too soon for that stuff." We go downstairs. I glance at her stomach. I still can't believe my child is growing inside her. My childhood best friend who's now my wife and pregnant with my baby. I grab her hands. "Baby I love you so damn much." I say, kissing her softly on the lips. "I'm so glad we're together, you complete me." I'm so happy. We get dinner and head to the slots. I put some money on black nine. "My lucky number." I say smiling. She laughs softly. "Good luck kiss means extra luck." She says, kissing me. "Black nine." The guy announces. "Yes! Thanks for the good luck baby." I say, pulling her into another kiss. "Newlyweds?" The guy asks. "Yeah,  how'd you know?" I ask surprised. "Well the fact you're wearing a shirt that says groom and she's got one that says bride." He says pointing. We all three laugh. "I forgot I was wearing that." She says. "Ooh shrimp cocktail!" She cries, running to the buffet table. I laugh hysterically. "Here we go." I mumble smiling. "We ain't just newlyweds my friend. She announced at the reception that she was pregnant. Totally catching me off guard. "Was it planned?" He asks. I shake my head and look back at my loving amazing wife. "But sometimes the best things in life aren't."
